I don't know what people found lacking in Lime Court. The only problem we had was finding Muckross Road (and that was mostly our own fault, as it was easily accessible and is one of the biggest roads in town). The remote also did not work on our TV but since we weren't really there to watch tv we didn't mind. The showers were great, the room was clean and the beds were the most comfortable we slept in on our trip. Breakfast was quite good, and we didn't have any overcrowding issues. Very good!

Based upon the reviews preceding my trip I'll say they were dead on. Dreaded staying there, wound up being about the worst place I stayed on my trip to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England. Rooms were dirty, television barely worked, remote didn't work, breakfast area was too small for the number of people, closed down breakfast earlier than time posted, got testy when I complained about it. It was an accessible place to roam around...and I had a terrific time. Would not stay again.

my family and i stayed at the limecourt for 3 nights in april.
i was very worried about our stay as i had just the night before we departed read a terrible review about the plumbing in limecourt. thankfully when we arrived we were met by a very friendly girl . we asked to see our rooms before we actually checked in. we had two large spotless rooms with tv's , tea and coffee in each room. we checked the plumbing and the water which was piping hot. we actually informed the girl that we had read a bad review about the plumbing and she could tell us that in december there had been work done on the main road which acually caused them major problems with grit in the pipes . well thats really not a lot that could be done in that case. its a bit unfair that this review was written at all as it indicates to people that limecourt is not as good as it is.

our stay could not have been more perfect. we had two rooms on the ground floor at the back of the building, very quiet at night amazing for a place so close to town.

My partner and I stayed overnight at the Lime Court in December 2007. The toilet was faulty in the first room we were given so we were given another room. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and just assumed the toilet was functioning in the new room and as we were in a hurry to get to a wedding we didn't check and found to our amazement when we got back that night after the wedding that the toilet in this room was also broken! The plumbing was attrocious and the noises from the pipes when we dared turn on the taps was ridiculous. Aside from this, found the room to be very shabby, burnt carpets, torn pillow cases etd..... May as well point out that I don't often stay in B and Bs but all I ask for is basic cleanliness and functioninb plumbing, both of which were badly lacking in the Lime Court. Won't stay again!
