This is a beautiful hotel. It is an old manor house, it is luxury at its best. it is rated as a four star but should be a five star. the food, the staff and everything about this hotel is beautiful and i would highly recc. it to anyone looking for a quiet romantic break. it is set in its own grounds with lovely gardens and walks but is only a ten minute walk from all the activities of killarney town.

We wanted to write this review to say a special thanks to Debbie, John, Andrew and all the staff at the Cahernane House Hotel who made our wedding day the most special day of our lives on the 9th Feb 2008. We travelled to the hotel for the weekend with our family and close friends. This venue is perfect for a small/medium size wedding. The attention we received from the staff was superb and they organised everything for us in a discreet fashion. We searched a few hotels in Killarney but once we walked into the hotel, with its warm open fires we know that this was the place for our winter wedding.

The rooms in the hotel were fantastic, I was lucky enough to be in the bridal suite for both nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The grounds that the hotel is on are so peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountais from the back of the hotel. All of the guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay and are still talking about the hotel, the Jacuzzi baths were well received as were the large rooms. The buffet for the evening guests was superb as was our wedding meal, the trio of deserts was particularly loved by all, including the children. We were lucky to have the hotel to ourselves more or less for the entire weekend which really allowed us to relax and enjoy the weekend.

The decor in the hotel is really old style and warm and the location is nice and quiet. We would not have changed a single thing about the weekend, except maybe that it would have gone on for longer!!

For anyone wanting a special memory then look no further than the Cahernane House Hotel.

Would highly recommend the Cahernane for a group of friends/family or a romantic weekend away. The service was excellent, attentive but unfussy ,and made us feel like we were in our own country house. Breakfast was good with a wide menu and dinner was lovely. The Ring of Kerry is on your doorstep and Killarney is nearby, if the weather is bad.

stayed here with my wife and in laws. had a super time. relaxed in the spacious lobbies and rooms. fascinated by the decor. staff were extremley friendly. made us feel well at home. food was delicious.... what else can i say about this place. all in all has to be experienced to be believed....
