The reviews of this hotel in my opinion are a little misleading. The hotel is fine, in fact it is very nice, but it isn't a 4 star or one of the best n Dublin.

However, for the price, location (which is about 10/15 mins from shops and Temple Bar) and service, the location is very very good.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, staff pleasant and public areas modern. The breakfast was just ok and could have had a wider selection of hot food. If this isnt included in your room rate, there is a very nice deli/ supermarket literally next door.

Overall I would definately recommend this hotel, but if you have a larger budget or would like a more luxurious place stay stay, there are other options.

One thing I would like to say is that when our flight from Dublin was cancelled because or radar failure and we had to rebook and return to the hotel, the staff were very accomodating and allowed me to use their reception computer to make arrangemens when the pay computer in reception was not working.

The hotel really was just o.k. The rooms were bigger then typical European rooms but there was nothing special about the hotel. One major problem was the hotel is in a building that is connected to other people's apartments. On Friday evening after dinner we came back to the hotel and the tenant in the apartment next to us was playing music very loudly. The hotel staff was quick to respond and said they would move our rooms but that was unnecessary because the music stopped after about an hour. I probably would look for another place next time I travel to Dublin. If you do choose this hotel be aware if your room is the last in the hallway because right next to your room is apartments owned by someone other then Comfort Inn.

We found this hotel through a website package and were very pleased with our stay. While it is not right in the heart of town, it is within reasonable walking distance and close to transportation. We did not book, and did not expect, luxurious accommodations, but the Comfort Inn is virtually brand new and all the amenities are well appointed. Even the little on-site restaurant was surprisingly good. If I returned to Dublin, I might stay somewhere else to experience a different neighborhood, but I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Was a little disappointed with this hotel after reading the reviews. It was slightly further out of the way than I expected, which was a factor given the constant rain - a persistent feature of life in Ireland! Although I was impressed that the hotel got in touch with me the day before my arrival to confirm the details of our booking I was less than impressed with the fact that I then had to wait two hours for one of the rooms I had booked to become available, although I was initially told this would be ready in 25 minutes. The free internet in the rooms was a plus though. The breakfast was good too.

They were good about trying to get us a taxi to the railway station when we checked out , since it was out of the way and there weren't many taxis about, and chased it up without being prompted.

The overall impression was that the place was a bit scruffy but adequate for a quick one night stay - I certainly wouldn't stay any longer and don't intend to stay there again - I'd choose somewhere a bit more central next time.
