“Very friendly, helpful staff and great location”

Pros: The staff was great. My parents (senior citizens) arrived before check-in time, but Eliza Lodge got them into a room early, which was very considerate and appreciated after a long night of travel. American Airlines lost their luggage (over 2 days) and the hotel staff went above and beyond in helping them out. The location is great; we were able to walk everywhere (except hop-on-hop-off tour and airport). We enjoyed our rooms' views of the Liffey. Breakfast (and service) was good.
Cons: One room had been smoked in (but what's the hotel to do?) and a couple cigarette butts were on the floor. It is a bit noisy because of traffic and partiers below. But, it wasn't unbearable.
We all agreed we would stay there again.

“Craic-ing stay at Eliza Lodge”

Eliza Lodge

4 of 5 stars

I stayed at the Eliza Lodge for my birthday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The hotel is easy to find, the intercom to let you in makes you feel very secure. The receptionist upon arrival was very friendly and accommodating, and offered to take our bags so we could go for a wander before checking into our room. The room itself was very very clean, plenty of storage space, comfy beds and had a really nice view of the Liffey. The breakfast choices in the morning were good and the waitresses at Eliza Blues were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was a very calming place to be after a night out!
The best bit of the hotel was the shower...the pressure was superb and the temperature perfect. I was a bit confused that they provided bath oil when we didn't have a bath but I guess that comes as standard. The only thing I would ask of the hotel would be to put up a few polite signs asking patrons to refrain from allowing the doors to slam early in the morning! Both mornings we were woken by the heavy doors slamming as people got up for breakfast. But that isn't the hotel's fault, guests should use consideration. I absolutely loved Dublin, Temple Bar was full of hens and stags but it was very friendly and we felt very safe there. I would recommend the VAT House for DJ Barry's Friday nights, and the Quays Bar for a fantastic burger while watching the hurling on TV.

Stayed at Eliza Lodge June 16-19 with Family, including parents, grandparents, and children. Rooms were nice, average size, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff pleasant and helpful. Location convenient to all Dublin sights. Yes, there is noise from Temple Bar which is just around the corner, but Dublin is crowded and noisy, it didn't bother us at all. We had a great stay at Eliza Lodge and would not hesitate to return.

“Great location”

We stayed at this hotel in March this year, and were lucky enough to be in Dublin for St. Patrick's Day. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the city. Our room overlooked the Millenium Bridge and the River Liffey.

Pros: Great location to Temple Bar, restaurants, city centre. Breakfasts were most adequate and service was quick. Security doors on all levels of the hotel were a plus, making us feel at ease. Reception staff were friendly and courteous. Check-in and out was smooth and friendly.

Cons: Too much noise. Admittedly it was St. Patrick's weekend and the hotel is right on Temple Bar, so we expected a lot of noise, but this carried on until well into the week until all hours of the morning every night. Another downside was the security door on the floor we were on - every time someone came to their room the security door would slam, followed by noisy guests who had no consideration for others. Carpet on the floor in the hallway would help in noise reduction too. The room we had was VERY small - so much so that we had to remove the chair from the desk in the room so that we could slide our suitcases under the desk, else we couldn't walk in the room without having to step over the suitcases.
