My husband and I were on the fence about staying outside of the bustling Temple Bar area, but we were ultimately very glad to avoid the noise and crowds by staying just off of St. Stephen's Green at Fitzwilliam. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean and warm. Even in our street-level room, noise was minimal. The staff was also quite helpful and accommodating.

This is a down-at-heel guesthouse. The location is great, an easy stagger from Dublin city centre, but the small rooms, peeling paintwork and general air of neglect is not. To be fair, the place was very clean, so you couldn't call it a fleapit: but it is far form the boutique hotel that it tries to sell itself as.

we stayed in Fitzwilliam Townhouse for a weekend in January. the location was great only a few minutes from the premier shopping street in Dublin. Our room was nice and comforable with flat screen tv. the house is historic and used to be the home of a wealty landlord in the 19th century. breakfast was in Puffer Bellys restaurant which was very well presented. staff were very friendly and helpful. will definitely be back.
