When we mentioned we were going to Derry next, Mr. McGinty, the owner of Woolen Things in Donegal, recommended this B&B to us. I am so glad we took his recommendation. This B&B has won awards and it's easy to understand why. The owner, Josephine Martin, offered us tea and cakes as soon as we arrived and served us in the sitting room. She provided some good tips on obtaining British pounds the next day, where to park and where to get the town tour bus. We had a king size bed (what we call a Queen size bed in the USA), that had two gorgeous comforters, lovely sheets, and even a decorative canopy. It was luxurious. Breakfast was sumptious with at least 8 different bowls of fruit including fresh berries and a bowl of kiwis and mangos. The food was thoughtfully prepared and presented and delicious. Even the table settings were coordinated with the placemats and napkins and there were fresh flowers on the tables. The Mount Royd is easy driving to the Northern Ireland city of Derry, the Bushmill's Distrillery, the Giants Causeway, and the rope bridge. Josephine has paid attention to every detail and definitely deserves the awards she has won. Her B&B is absolutely lovely.
