I stayed a couple of nights here, and enjoyed the hotel. Since it was a long walk to the city center, I opted to stay and eat at the bar; food was great and service friendly. Rooms were okay, comfortable, but missing any kind of A/C, and I was unable to get a fan from reception. My window faced the highway, so leaving it open overnight was out of the question. Still, had good sleep during my stay. All in all, a comfortable visit, however, next time I would try and stay closer to the city center.

I stayed overnight in Silversprings hotel on Monday night as I had to be in Cork on Tuesday morning. So rather than driving down early on Tuesday morning I decided to book a room here. I have to say as it was my first time in this hotel and I was very impressed.

The room was nice and spacious and very comfortable & everything was spotless. A great bonus I thought was the free wireless internet in the bedroom as I got some work done for my meeting the following day.

The bar menu offers a great selection...plus the staff are very helpful.

Definitely would stay here again, either for business or for a weekend away!

Despite the claims on its website and in the room info that the whole hotel has broadband I can categorically assure you that room 502 does not!
Nor does the establishment seem to think that researching my business plan in a lobby full of first communion kids and families should be a problem. Lots of apologies but no action during my two day stay - not even an offer of a new room.
Nor is the spa that I promised myself a reward with a) on site or b) open for treatments on Sundays.
Otherwise a nice hotel with good atmosphere for a city tower block, but that's not the point

Got a good deal for this hotel and thought it was very nice - the rooms were very comfortable and we thought the breakfast selection was excellent. Downside was the distance from town. On the internet is states a few minutes from Cork City we chose to walk and it is a good 40 minute walk although there is a bus stop not far from the hotel or they will phone a taxi for you. The leisure centre is not attached to the hotel and again is a 10 minute walk uphill which is okay of the weather is fine but take a brolly if it looks overcast. All in all good value for our money but just too far out.
