Friendly home from home accommadation with hosts Rosa and Alan. They were extremely helpful with advice for the hill walking we had planned and went way above what you would expect of B & B hosts.
The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom spotless and a big plus in Skye, the property was midge free. The lounge is spacious with wonderful views of the loch and the Black Cuillins.
The food was good and dinner is highly recommended.

“A Lttle bit of Heaven”

Fearnoch

Jul 20, 2008

Following a stay in a grotty Hotel in Callander and navigating the so called roads of Skye arriving at Fearnoch was like entering a little bit of heaven. A warm welcome, luggage taken up to my room which was a delight.

The bathroom, whilst small was adequate with everything one needed; the towels were, to my surprise, changed everyday and the soap, a local product, was a delight waiting to happen,.

The lounge was comfortable and user friendly; the food superb and mine hosts firm but friendly and nothing was too much trouble
.
I have stayed at 4* hotels world wide but this experience matches the best of them, in its own quiet way.

A warning however ,the hostess views her kitchen as proudly and understandably her domain, cross over the line and you are in deep trouble.

Cannot wait to return

4 of us recently stayed here. Beautiful, clean accommodation in a wonderful location - but - there are lots of strict rules to adhere to! E.G. removal of all outer gear in tiny porch and leave tidy, keep common area tidy, keep bedroom/bathrooms tidy (do not leave toothbrushes etc. out of wash bags), don't relax, go to bed early as the owner is tired. Wanted to go out for 5 minutes at 10.40pm - door locked and request denied! Similar, one imagines, to living in a camp - commandant scarey - what happened Irish hospitality?

“A tranquil and scenic place”

We read the Trip Advisor comments before coming here and we were not disappointed. The single track road to Torrin passes through such beautiful scenery that you feel "off the beaten track" and inspired before your reach Torrin. Fearnoch is in such a lovely location with good views. It was just a short distance to Loch Slapin, and the trip to Elgol is certainly a worthwhile one.

The bedroom and ensuite were very comfortable, and Rosa and Alan have plenty of books and information about Skye, in the guest lounge. Rosa's breakfasts were a delight and we especially enjoyed Rosa's cooking with a delicious evening meal. Rosa and Alan made us feel so welcome and "at home" during our 2-day stay.

Rosa's advice to drive to Elgol and to take a boat trip to Loch Coruisk was so much appreciated; we really loved the trip and the peace and beauty of the Cuillin mountains and the Loch.

I would recommend Fearnoch - don't be put off by the single track road or lack of restaurant in Torrin. It's a lovely place in a tranquil and beautiful location, and Rosa and Alan will do all they can to help you enjoy your stay.

“A lovely End”

My wife and myself have been visiting Skye for a number of years, enjoying the hospitality of our friends on the isle and of course the wonderful scenery and seafood.
Having met Rosa and Alan whom run this beautiful B & B, I can only say that it was the perfect end of our trip to a special place in our hearts.
The warmth of the place that comes through is just so simply evident, the rooms are beautifully presented and the breakfast is yummy.
Rosa cooked up a delicious dinner that was so glorious with great conversation by all who had that privelidge to share.
The location in Torrin has some of the most spectacular views of the Cuillins and Loch Slapin, it will take your breath away.
Somewhere over the rainbow, this place has it all.
