“A tranquil and scenic place”

We read the Trip Advisor comments before coming here and we were not disappointed. The single track road to Torrin passes through such beautiful scenery that you feel "off the beaten track" and inspired before your reach Torrin. Fearnoch is in such a lovely location with good views. It was just a short distance to Loch Slapin, and the trip to Elgol is certainly a worthwhile one.

The bedroom and ensuite were very comfortable, and Rosa and Alan have plenty of books and information about Skye, in the guest lounge. Rosa's breakfasts were a delight and we especially enjoyed Rosa's cooking with a delicious evening meal. Rosa and Alan made us feel so welcome and "at home" during our 2-day stay.

Rosa's advice to drive to Elgol and to take a boat trip to Loch Coruisk was so much appreciated; we really loved the trip and the peace and beauty of the Cuillin mountains and the Loch.

I would recommend Fearnoch - don't be put off by the single track road or lack of restaurant in Torrin. It's a lovely place in a tranquil and beautiful location, and Rosa and Alan will do all they can to help you enjoy your stay.

“A lovely End”

My wife and myself have been visiting Skye for a number of years, enjoying the hospitality of our friends on the isle and of course the wonderful scenery and seafood.
Having met Rosa and Alan whom run this beautiful B & B, I can only say that it was the perfect end of our trip to a special place in our hearts.
The warmth of the place that comes through is just so simply evident, the rooms are beautifully presented and the breakfast is yummy.
Rosa cooked up a delicious dinner that was so glorious with great conversation by all who had that privelidge to share.
The location in Torrin has some of the most spectacular views of the Cuillins and Loch Slapin, it will take your breath away.
Somewhere over the rainbow, this place has it all.

“Idyllic Hideaway on Skye”

Fearnoch

My wife and I stayed with Rosa in August 2007 and had a wonderful time. Fearnoch is set in a marvellous location in Torrin, on the Broadford to Elgol road, and is backed and flanked by inspiring mountain scenery with loch views to the front. It was just a short walk to the shore where there was an otter hide and a secret. We'll let Rosa reveal the secret!

Our room was perfect, the lounge and dining room were very comfortable indeed and the whole establishment was beautifully maintained and as clean as a new pin. Breakfasts were superb—very good food, extremely well prepared. Rosa was very helpful in recommending local places to eat in the evenings, but she neglected to mention that her own evening meals are the best in the area—we discovered that the night we stayed home to dine!

Rosa was also instrumental in kindly guiding us towards the best places to visit in South Skye. We enjoyed some delightful walks, explored ancient villages, watched birds, seals and otters and were even treated to the sight of four magnificent golden eagles simultaneously circling above our heads. From our window, the sight of Bla Bheinn glowing red in the early morning sunlight was unforgettable.

Don’t hesitate! If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable retreat near the mountains and the sea—this is it!

We stayed with Alan and Rosa for a week of walking and relaxation. The beautiful village of Torrin is located on the banks of tranquil Loch Slapin with the dramatic backdrop of Bla Bhein. Fearnoch is in a particularly favoured location, benefiting from unrivalled views of both sea and mountains. Hospitality was second to none and we both loved Rosa's dinners and breakfasts. The accommodation was very clean, cosy and comfortable. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic B & B”

We stayed with Rosa at the Fearnoch whilst walking from Armadale to Duntulm on Paterson's 'Long Walk on Skye'. Having camped the two previous days (there being no accommodation in Ord or Heaste), we needed to be looked after and weren't disappointed. The twin room was cosy and clean. Rosa's evening meal was fantastic, as was the breakfast. I'd recommend the Fearnoch without reservation.
