this was one of the best hotel's in the area until it was taken over by new management about two years ago.since then the service and reputation of this hotel has certainly went downhill. as a large family group we expected to have a peaceful, uneventful meal in the hotel restaurant during our stay however this was not to be. as the only people in the restaurant at the time you would have thought we would have been served quickly but we were still waiting for our starters after an hour and a half.when they did finally arrive they were cold and there was no explanation for the delay.a good while later we received our main courses which were wrong.the manager then proceeded to blame the waitress in front of everyone when it wasn't her fault before snatching up the plates we were eating off of! i have never before received such shocking service. my mother was in tears and all the would offer was a free drink.what should have been a happy occassion was ruined completely by the ignorance of the management who were more interested in keeping repeat golfing guests happy than a large family who would have spent a fortune.needless to say we cut short our meal and complained to management.all credit to the waitress who was treated appauling by her boss for trying to appease the situation with no support.we will never be back and i strongly recommend you do the same
