Stayed two nights, one night either side of our holiday in Scotland. Located close to Prestwick airport, but too far to walk, so you will need to get a taxi or use your hire car.
The location is a little depressing behind a petrol station and near a main road, the view out of some of the rooms is the car park and the petrol station trash compactor (his is definitely a one-night only place) I do think some well placed fencing or trellis with climbing plants might be a good idea. Surprisingly there is no noise from the outside environment, I assume good scottish double glazing.
The room was everything you expect at a PTI, clean and understated, all in a nice shade of purple. We had the room laid out for a family of four, which is achived by conversion of a sofa bed and a mattress on the floor. So with all our holiday gear it did feel cramped. This is definitely a one-night only place.
Food is at the adjoining restrautaunt/pub/kids-play-area thing. Breakfast was buffet style for cereals etc with full-english (or should I say scottish) waited to your table by friendly staff. No complaints, pleanty of food, but basic stuff.
However, this is PTI, a budget chain which is working hard in that end of the market to be the hotel of choice, which is why they will retain my custom.
A reasonable stay for GBP79. This is definitely a one-night only place. I have marked it as average purely due to the location and the tight squeeze for four of us in a room.
