“Will stay at a Premier Inn again”

Premier Inn Ayr

5 of 5 stars
newcastle
Aug 21, 2008

We stayed at the Premier Inn for 1 night on our way back from holiday. This is the 1st time we have stayed in a premier inn & we were very impressed, the standards were far better than any of the travelodges & holiday inns we have stayed in.
The room was large & spotlesly clean, with temperature control, comfortable good size bed , clean bathroom & everything worked.
The brewers fare pub adjacent to the hotel serves food until 10pm & the meal we had was very good for the price. The pub is ideal for families , there is a childrens play area & there was some entertainment on for the kids that night but this did not impose on us as we dont have kids.
Staff at the hotel & pub were friendly & helpful.
From now on we will always choose to stay at a Premier Inn when we need a stopover rather than the other travel/budget hotels.
The hotel is a bit out of the way so will best suit people who only need a stopover

“Convienent to the Prestwick airport”

Hotel was ok, but the location is only good for accessing the nerarby airport. Not much else in the general area to see. Rooms clean and the adjoining restaraunt was OK. Good clean bed for the night to catch an early flight the next day.

“Wonderful!!!”

On arrival to the Premier Inn we were too early for check in. The girl at reception immediately offered us to come and dine in the excellent Brewers Fayre restaurant which had a soft play area for our kids. The room was ready in no time and we found it to be of a good size, clean and temperature controlled. The room offered all the usual trimmings, en suite, television nice decor etc.
The staff in the hotel were exceptional particularly when it came to our kids. This is the perfect place to stay if you want exceptional service and facilities....oh, and the best whippy icecream in Scotland!!!

“Great value stopover for Prestwick Aiport or just a day or two in Ayr”

All over the place - UK!
May 1, 2008

We stayed here most recently for a sunny weekend in Ayr but have used this Travel Inn for flying from Prestwick Airport on very early flights. The room was very comfortable and clean and check in was very pleasant. Tea/coffee making facilities are in the room as are a hairdryer and fan. The Travel Inn is attached to a Brewers Fayre with a great kids play area. The food is OK although a bit messy in the kids area. We don't have any complaints about Monkton Lodge - it's handy, reasonably priced at £60 a night and clean. We will stay again without question.

“Good Experience”

Stayed here for 1 night during a Trade Expo.
Room was a good size, nicely decorated. Bathroom was sizable, with plenty of hot water. I arrived quite early, way before check in time, and the staff did their best to accomodate me ASAP.
Main problem was that it was in the middle of nowhere. Also, larger aircraft can be heard from nearby Prestwick, even through there is double glazing. Also, could hear the family upstairs stomping around
I have stayed in worse establishments while on business.
I have no idea what the room cost, as it was a company trip, but i'd say they got good value for money
