“Excellent Value for Money”

Innkeeper's Lodge A9 (Huntingtower)

North West England

Part of the Innkeeper's Lodge chain, this new lodge is situated on the edge of Perth. It takes about 5-10 minutes to drive into town.

Our room was of a good size, and very clean, with comfortable beds and a good continental breakfast included in the price.

You require a car for this location, and it provides good access for trips in the local area.

Excellent value for money.

We stayed for 2 nights, it is excellent,!!!!!! rooms are modern, flat screen tv, warm, quiet, comfortable bed, outclasses most in its class, good modern feel to the bathroom.
We were greeted by front house manager ( professional and warm) no fuss, no bother.
Glover Inn food, dinner, breakfast, and atmosphere, are great, what a refuge after a drive down the A9 from Inverness dark and in driving rain late September, it is the pub of your dreams after a dark dismall drive.
We are regular travellers, USA, EU,and we would say that this place is seriously good, couldn't fault it for what it does.

I stayed in Perth for a 2 day residential training course & this hotel was suggested by the organisers.

It was very good value for money (I booked the online saver rate) the room itself was clean & spacious, the bathroom was pretty new, but I was disappointed there was only a shower - no bath, but I think this is sadly becoming the 'norm' at many hotels.

The carvery was more than adequate & the staff/food all fine.
Breakfast the next day was your usual toast/cereal etc & was self service. Would have been nice to have had the option of something cooked.

My main gripes with this hotel are location - right at a junction on what must be the busiest road in Perth. It was warm when I stayed & it was a toss up between opening the window to let some air in or listen to the non-stop traffic that passed under my window ALL NIGHT LONG - Tractors, lorries & ambulances.

So after what must be the worst nights sleep I have ever had, I was looking forward to a nice hot shower to wake me up... Sadly the water pressure was so poor, that the water trickled out the shower & it took about 20 minutes to rinse my hair!

Having said all this, I spoke to people who were staying elsewhere in the hotel & they didn't have any problems - I think the fact they were not on the 'road side' of the hotel, meant they didn't have the noise & the water pressure must vary from room to room.

So while I would recommend this hotel as a cheap place to stay - please be aware of asking for a quiet room & for goodness sake - check the water pressure before unpacking!!

On arrival I was made to feel very welcome and check-in was friendly and efficient. My room was spacious, modern, and very clean and I slept soundly as it was so quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was delicious and the staff were attentive and polite. Highly recommended.

Would give this hotel the highest recommendation for this type of traveller's accomodation. It was extremely clean and comfortable, especially the bed. All staff were welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic.

Meals were available in the Vintage Inn and the price included breakfast, which was continental in style, with fresh bread and pastries, with butter and jams, a wide variety of Kellogg's cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and a choice of teas and fresh coffee. The menu had a variety of delicious snacks and main meals. Do try the salad of black budding, bacon and mushroom with baby potatoes, absolutely delicious!

If you intend visiting the Perth and Kinross area, this hotel is ideally situated as a base for touring and for visiting the City of Perth.
