We found the Claymore by chance - but what a find. It's a lovely villa in a quiet street near Nairn beach and golf club. A private hotel - the owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly - chatting with us over a drink in the bar. The bar is lovely with a coal fire. Both the bar and restaurant had just been refurbished - smart as well as comfortable. The owners are redecorating the bedrooms and rest of the hotel too. Although we thought our room was lovely anyway - large with a lovely bay window and our en suite bathroom was huge!
The food is delicious with lots to choose from.
It's a good location. Walking distance from the beach and town centre. It seemed to be very popular with golfers and there were a lot staying when we were there.
We really loved this hotel and have booked for a longer stay next year. They've got some very good off-season rates. Good value for money.
