Hardwick House - what a wonderful find - everything we could possible want, close to the town of Stratford upon Avon, quality breakfast and lovely, quiet clean rooms. Thanks to Drenagh & Simon for a wonderful stay - will definately be back- SOON!!

We booked Hardwick House after being reccommended by friends and wern't dissappointed. The location is perfect, lovely and quiet and a very easy walk to the town centre. We had tickets for the theatre and really enjoyed the production of 'The Dream'. Our room was on the first floor and was very comfortable and spottlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and served with a smile! My husband is mad about cricket and really ejoyed talking to Simon. We will be back as we want to explore the Cotswolds and visit Oxford.

We found the Hardwick House through the Stratford-Upon-Avon tourist board. We just showed up and they booked the reservation for us. Lucky us! The Hardwick House was very nice. My mother and I had an en suite downstairs room with two singles. It was equpped with all the essentials, plus a beautiful bay window! It was quiet, relaxing and very clean. (Can't say that about every hotel we stayed at.) The owners even thoughtfully provided a hot water bottle on each bed. That was a first. Being a native Californian, I found it intriguing and had to try it out. There was also a centrally located selection of snacks and refrigerated beverages, wine and beer available on the honor system. Again, very thoughtful.

It was also just a five-minute walk from Shakespeare's birthplace and the center of town. Even though we had a car, my Mom and I really enjoyed walking around. Stratford is beautiful.

A full English breakfast was provided in a very nice front room overlooking a leafy street. It was all quite good. The owners were very nice, too.

I would most definitely go there again.

I picked Hardwick House from many Stratford-upon-Avon choices listed on the Internet because I was looking for something with loads of English charm, a reasonable price and a room with three beds. Boy, did I ever get lucky with this one!

Our room (on the top floor, up two flights of narrow stairs) had a private bath and a window that looked out on the street. It was light, airy, clean and there was plenty of room for we three ladies and all of our stuff. The bathroom was huge and we didn't have any trouble getting a good night's rest on the comfy beds.

Breakfast (fruit, toast and cereal OR full English), included in the price of the room, was enjoyed each morning in the sunny breakfast room.

Hardwick House is located only a 10-minute walk from the center of town in a quiet residential neighborhood. The walking path along the canal is just around the corner. Stratford-upon-Avon is a town made for walking so this location is perfect.

Our stay at this lovely accomodation rated an A+ and was one of the highlights of our vacation!
