My husband and myself have had several weekend breaks in England in the last 2 years and were unsure about another as the accomodation we have selected previously has been a major letdown. Staying at the Hunters Moon Guest House was the best choice we could have made. The hosts Anne and Gordon were wonderful and very accomodating, the room newly decorated and very clean, the breakfast was perfect and the location only a 15 minute walk to the town centre and very pleasant.
For anyone who has not yet visited Stratford upon Avon please do as it is a beautiful place with plenty to see and do. Everyone was so friendly and we would certainly visit their again and stay at the Hunters Moon Guest House.

We stayed this Easter at the Hunters Moon Guest House.
We are frequent visiters to strarford however this is the first time we have stayed at the hunters moon, just had to drop a line to say what a very pleasant and relaxing stay we had, Anne & Gordon were a wonderful couple and their kindness was second to none. The accomodation was above average the food was very good. We will be back and would certainly stay here again.

I have just read a review about the hunters moon guest house stratford and thought I had to point out that this guest house is now under new ownership. I recently stayed at this establishment and enjoyed it immensely the hosts anne + gordon were extremely courteous. The accomodation was spotless and very comfortable the breafast menu, lots of choice ,generous & well presented, I would not hesitate visiting again, anne & gordon being great Ambassadors for the very beautiful place Stratford-upon-Avon.

My father, who is elderly, and I stayed for a night at the Hunter's Moon Guest House in Statford-upon-Avon in late August 2002. On the positive side, we found the room spotless and the breakfast that was offered in the morning was very ample and tasty. However, unfortunately, I am not able to recommend this guest house because I found hospitality seriously absent from the place. Specifically, after returning to the room after a performance at the Swan Theatre adjoining the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, which was the primary reason for our visit to Statford, we had not been in the room for more than fifteen minutes when we were abruptly told by the host, Mr. David Austin, that we were making too much noise in the room. If we were being too noisy, I am glad that Mr. Austin did advise us of such; however, I found his manner in doing so anything but friendly, courteous, and jovial. In short, as is often said, "it is not what you say, it is how you say it." Mr. Austin's manner seemed to me to be the very antithesis of what is expected of the hospitality industry. His behavior was even more rude in that my father is in his 70s, considerably older than Mr. Austin. Mrs. Austin was helpful and gracious, however.

In closing, I have stayed in various types of accomodations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, but I do have to admit that at no time have I stayed in a place where I found the attitude of the host as unpleasant as Mr. Austin's behavior was.
