So, first of all: this place isn't cheap. It's about the priciest indulgence one can give themselves for a Toronto stay. And the rooms alone are not worth it--though spotless, they're not opulent, and pretty out-of-date. Given all this, the service is impeccable--best I've ever had--and thus I've stayed here three times.

Yorkville people-watching is fun, and I loved hanging out in the Lobby Bar or the Avenue Bar and checking out the comings-and-goings of the rich and famous. Also fun to walk down the street and have dinner/drinks at Sassafraz (have the concierge make you a reservation though). Staying at this hotel is what traveling first class on a large luxury ocean liner must have been like 70 or 80 years ago, when the table linens were spotless and pressed, and any and all requests were executed promptly and flawlessly. Four Seasons is addressing the need of a makeover by building a new hotel which will be open in a year or two, so until then I'll make do with this one. Once you get used to Four Seasons service, you'll never want to stay anywhere else. Book your room on the hotel website as an 'Escape to Toronto' package and you'll even save a little off the rack rate!

Stayed for 4 nights at the Four Seasons Toronto. The location at Yorkville is perfect next to many good restaurants, bars and shops. The ROM and the next subway station are also only arround a minute away by walking. The food at the restaurant was awesome including the breakfast. The bar was a good place for people watching and to enjoy great drinks. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Valet service and housekeeping remembered who we are and were really helpful.
Our room was spacious and cozy. The bathroom was not the biggest but lovely. We had a fantastic view over the city thru CN tower. The bed was comfortable and the room calm so we had slept well.

Good service as usual for a four seasons, but the rooms are nothing special. in particular the bathrooms look more like a holiday inn than a four seasons. this place does not feel like a luxury hotel. but clean and good service.

I have stayed at many 4S in North America. This hotel exceeded my expectations with respect to service. the location is excellent in the trendy Yourkville district. From my check-in to check out the service exceeded the highly rated Ritz Carlton Chicago (which i have reviewed a number of times and loved). Check in was quick and was escorted to my room by Front Desk personel. A freshly made chocolate cake and other goodies were waiting. Room service was on time, hot and good. Avenue bar is lively, young and has a hip edge to it. This is in contrast to the stately, conservative (older) decor of the remainder of the hotel. Gym is small but good as is the pool. The pool is 1/2 indoor and 1/2 outdoor.

I really loved this place. Other reviewers stated it was old. Well it is, but like a good LA face lift (NOT Joan Rivers type), it is ageing very well. It will soon be replaced by a flashier new hotel, but this is a great place in the meantime.
