We booked the royal dolphin swim online and got the sea lion encounter for free as a promotion they were running. My advice is, book early in the day, the groups are smaller and you get more one on one attention. there were seven of us in our dolphin group (three of us came together), and our trainer, Alex, was wonderful. We had Azteca and Simbad. The three of us were the only ones in our sea lion group, and they spoiled us. Pauline gave us a behind the scenes tour, and we got to interact with not one, but four sea lions, including Pepe, the Very large male, but sweet tempered and not a bad kisser, and his kids Nixie and Michele, and his love of this year at least, Lulu. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, the animals were loved as well as loving, the trainers obviously cared deeply for them. But, don't forget to re-apply your sunscreen before you hit the waterpark (they sell dolphin friendly sunscreen in the gift shop), or you'll get burned like we did. The waterpark has everything for kids to teens to adults to grandparents, and the restaurant has big portions and great cervesas! The videographer and photographer were excellent, and although we took a lot of our own pictures, we had to buy their high quality photos as well as their video. A little pricey for three sets of pictures and two sets of videos, but we haven't regretted it at all.
