We have stayed at Bahia Del Sol for the past 3 years. (2 weeks). We purchased a time share also. The staff never approached us to attend a meeting, we had to ask if they were for sale. We love the small, beautiful grounds and the helpful staff. Each year we found nothing but the best courteous maids and other employees. I love the daily maid service. The maids will also do your laundry for a small fee. There are no public laundry facilities at the resort. The amount we have saved has paid for the time share. The rooms are large, we have a 1 bedroom and either 11/2 or 2 baths. If you are going to do a lot of traveling in the area, you will need a rental car or take the bus which runs about every 15 minutes. Taxi's are about $15.00 OW into Puerto Vallarta.. There is an expansion underway and the restaurant will be open this year, 2007. We enjoy the Turtle release also.
IMO this is the most relaxing, and best value in the area. If you check the price for 2 weeks timeshare, you will be pleasantly surprised. We always go the 1st 2 weeks in November or the last 2 weeks in April, both times are very nice, but different.

Overall - nice resort.

We stayed in a second floor studio. The bed was very hard and fold out was lumpy & ancient. The kitchenette had recently been renovated and was quite modern.

Lovely grounds. Nice pool & loungers.

There was loud construction next door and the restaurant advertised on their website IS NO LONGER THERE. There is a very good "snack bar" called the Seahorse, but it closes before 5pm.

I would go again as it was a great value and location. The beach was spectacular and the resort is not crowded or loud, so VERY RELAXING!!

We stayed in a ground floor condo with two bedrooms and two baths. The room is very open with a full kitchen and living room. The deck overlooks the beach and is very spacious. The staff was very helpful in all our inquiries and in booking side trips.
There is a nice restaurant/bar next to the pool with ocean views. Breakfast and lunch were great, but the dinner menu was a bit over-priced and limited. The beach is clean and has palm gazebos and beach chairs. The pace is slow and we very much enjoyed our stay. I would/will come back.

Bahia del Sol is a smaller timeshare resort on an excellent beach. It is very low key. The staff are very helpful with any questions. The restaurant has tasty food. Short trip to Bucerias and Sayulita. Lots of timeshare regulars that rise very early to reserve their beach chairs!! Would recommend this place unless you need a big all-inclusive hotel. The turtle program was very exciting for our 9 year old. Not many children here which was a drawback for us.
