We had an early flight in Cancun thus booked this place for one night. It was perfect for this very stay. The hotel is located within a short driving distance of the Cancun hotel strip.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. There was security on the premises, good parking, and clean rooms. The aiport is about 25 minutes (by car).

They run a shuttle to the beach (which we did not use) so we saw some extended visitors to the hotel, as well.

All in all a clean, tidy place with very reasonable prices.

My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Terracaribe for one night on Jan 2nd. We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay before starting a 2-week driving tour through the Yucatan and my expectations for the hotel were not particularly high.

The Terracaribe was such an unexpected pleasure!! The hotel is spotless and has a surprising touch of style with its fresh white paint, covered patio, and sparkling blue pool. The bed was comfy with a firm mattress and butter-yellow sheets and the shower was powerful. I appreciated and made use of the free Internet access. The staff was exceedingly polite and eager to provide assistance. There is an in-house restaurant that serves a substantial breakfast buffet for approx $5-6 per person, it was just what we needed to fuel us up for our adventure.

Our fellow hotel guests seemed to be a mix of Mexican nationals who were in Cancun for business and European travelers looking for a bargain. Fellow patrons in the restaurant were Cancun police officers and walk-ins from the various businesses in the area. The neighborhood is a busy commercial area and not very interesting but it was good for us because we needed a stress-free place to park followed by easy access to a grocery store and then to the highway out of town. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for people with similar needs.

I stayed overnight on Nov. 3/07. The hotel is an oasis in what appears to be a poor neighbourhood. The staff, especially the manager, Alfonso were very helpful with directions on how to get around Cancun. The room had a queen sized bed, television, desk and chair and of course separate bathroom. Everything was immaculately clean and they gave me a room on the 3rd flloor so it was very quiet, couldn't hear any local traffic. The pool is being renovated but there are coffee shops and a nice little courtyard with umbrellas and chairs where you can hang out. If you are looking to stay in Cancun without spending a bundle, you can't beat this place. Clean, safe, well located to move around the city, hotel zone and best of all, my bill was $43. There is a gas station across the street with a convenience store, and it appears that a large building is being built just north of the hotel (looks like an architect spent a lot of time on this) so the neighbourhood may be moving up.

the room I've gotten had AC leaking - no problem I was moved in another one in 5 min.

location is not the best, but they povide shuttle at reasonable cost, there is taxi and bus stop next to hotel.
it is ~15 min to Cancun center by bus and ~40 min to hotel zone center (Zona Hotel'era).

will stay there on way in/out of Mayan Rivera...

costs...we paid ~$40 for double room with decent breakfast.
