I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews of the hotel on here before we went - i needn't have been. We were in a room over the otherside of the road which was fine.....lots of younger people were also over there and we had a nice pool which kept the sun for longer than the main pool.

Over the main hotel the beach and sea were gorgeous!!! The entertainment and activities during the day were really good as was the evening entertainment. Food and drink were also very good.

Best point about the hotel were the staff - Charlie, Dario, Orlando plus many more were great! Very friendly and helpful.

Trips to the clubs hapen every night and work out much cheaper than going on your own.

All in all a briliant holiday and i would definetely go back there again!

Just got back frm 2 weeks at the blue bay club with my boyfriend and have to say go with the good reviews! was really enjoyable, we were a young couple looking for a chilled out holiday and it was perfect for that! great for families tho! Hotel is really nice, clean and staff are helpful! HOWEVER please be warned that there are two parts to the hotel, the one situated over the road from the main bit is awful and really out dated, we asked to be moved straight away and there was no problems in doing so, to our relief and satisfaction! They seem to put young ones in that side!! other side is very nice tho, and the beds are bigggg! Entertainment is real good in the hotel, theres always something on! beware they don't take no for an answer! and if you are looking to go clubbing in town they do very reasonable priced trips, somewhere different each night! I'd recommend going with the lads round the pools tours as they are ixclusive to the resort and good prices. The reps based at hotel and jumbo tours one will try rip you off with tour prices so go idea to go into hotel zone to book them as you can usually haggle with them example, hotel reps price for the captain hook boat trip (amazing!) was $79 for steak, in town we got them down to $63!
Food is good and variable, and lots of variety of drinks and cocktails!
Beach is nice and you can get non motorised boats and stuff for free. The hotel is close to the ferry port to the island visible from the hotel and costs about £3 return and is well worth doing, the beaches are so much nicer and has a more carribean feel!
Hope thats helped, I would def recmmoned this and dont be put off by the bad reviews, just make sure you're not put in the other side!!!

I liked the whole experience. Just DO NOT use any pay phone or suite phone ( it's a huge rip-off). $35 to $55 per 3-5 minute calls. Buy an international cell phone or something, anything else. The staff is great, tipping goes a long way.

This vacation was so amazing... We are from Nova Scotia. Canada.
I have a 9 year old son and he loved this place as well.
When we arrived at 1030am we were checked in right away, with a oceanfron room.
This resort is not for someone looking for a party hotel. it is great for families as there is poolside entertainment all day long for both parents and kids. The beach is super quiet and relaxing as the kids seem to stay at the pool area.
The bar staff was great and Dario and louis at the pool were wonderful, my son loved hanging out with them for the activities.
Only thing at this resort is keep in mind you get better service if you tip..not constantly but even $5 here and there to bar staff, and in the restauants.
The food at oysters was amazing especially the chicken.
Dinner shows were a hit as the pool staff are actively in these as well. The kids club ran from 9am - 10pm and my son loved to go there, and just hang out for a change. They take the kids to lunch. supper and show, if they want to stay the whole day. Shows were Mon-Wed-Fri, so the dinner was at the theatre across the street. Nice pedway unground to walk there.
Everynight there was some fun at the pool either at 8pm or after the show the other nights ending aroun 10pm or so, then Dario takes whoever wants to go clubbing to a different bar each night. Not sure how he does it???!! I think you get bracelets and it is $45 per person but all liquor is included at the club.
Hope this helps with a little more detail like I was looking for when I was reading here before my trip.
overall great vacation, will go back.. Keep in mind, great for kids as they are able to come and go as it is not a huge resort.
