We had a great time at this resort.Food was good,drinks were great and plentiful.The entertainment was always great and kid friendly.The weather was awesome,the staff made us very welcome and were always there to help.The transfers were on time and the signature staff were professional.
Lots of families at this resort,I would not encourage singles to come here.It was clean in a very comfortable atmosphere,we will return.
The negatives: the mattress's are very hard and loud.
The time share people need to be given a firm " no thank you".
On tours and excursions you feel that people are working you for tips ie.capt.hook.
My family are looking forward to our next trip,we met some super people: Phil,Lisa and boys (England) and Phil and Liz (USA).

Just back from Blue Bay Club and have got to say had the best holiday everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I have seen a few reviews on here and thought twice about the hotel but the hotel was amazing and the staff would bend over backwards to help you.

When around the pool and bar all I noticed with the americans [--] about the hotel and staff etc and if you notice from the reviews most bad ones are from the americans, maybe they expect a lot more than the Brits.

Anyway staff amazing, room cleaned about twice a day, food great and shows etc are great.

Overall loved it and so did everyone that we spoke with and have also booked again from November

our family of 10 people stayed here Dec.2007 the resort is ok the staff is really nice and friendly the food was good and so was the entertainment .This was our 2nd year in a row . The 1st year management was really nice because they are selling time shares and we purchased a program (do not buy a time share thru this resort.) we had a lot of problem with booking and too many incident to go into detail in this review. But the 2nd day we were there there they had a time share sell person to have breakfast with our family and we proceeded to tell him the problems with there program. And he pretended he was shock we had so many problems trying to us our points. Our advise to any one that is thinking of investing in a timeshare please........ don't do it
take our advice you can find really good deals on the internet .just as cheap or cheaper.Management never showed any concern as a matter of fact after they realized we were not going to up grade our program the management was real cool to us.Please poeple out there ,leave those foreign timeshares alone,especially in foreign countries,once you sign on the dotted line ,they dont care how they treat you,you are locked in. I would like to also add that we do own a time share in the USA and it is weeks time share and so far is ok and a membership with RCI.
and also Blue Bay has no bus tranportation off of the resort and that resorts is miles away from things so basicly when you get there you are stuck on the resort if you are not taking any tours.

OK, so we just returned from the Blue Bay Club on March 27. I booked this hotel specifically to be away from the party scene as I was traveling with my husband, kids ages 7 & 9 and their grandparents. The location was great, the kids could walk out of the room and onto the beach. The rest was downhill... small pool, poor food quality, busy staff. Here were my main problems: when we checked in, all of our rooms had 1 king bed, no doubles were available (I had booked all doubles). So, they had to put a roll-away in each room for the kids. The next day we were able to change 1 of the rooms to a double, but they made us check out of ours at 11:00 and the next one wasn't available until 3:00. Also, to get a reservation at their Oysters restaurant, we had to stand in line at 7:45 (they took reservations at 8:00), and they said no kids under 14! Pretty crummy for a "family resort". This was my 3rd time to Cancun, and I would not stay at the Blue Bay again. I can only hope it was so lousy because it was spring break and they were very busy. On the bright side, I hired Cancun Valet for airport transportation, a trip to Chitzen Itza, and Xel-Ha, they were fabulous, I would absolutely use them again!
