The owners, Francois and Anabella, were the very best hosts! If you love Frida Kahlo, you will enjoy this warm, cozy B&B, and enjoy stories about Frida and Diego and even see movies about Frida. The owners plan to rebuild down on the beachfront and that will be a wonderful spot and much quieter during busy times.
Don't go during Easter break as the Mexican families come in hordes to the beach. Made it crowded and noisy at night. Our room could have been visited daily by the maid but was not.
The B&B is actually 16 miles south of Zihuatenajo so getting there isn't easy ($ 56 from the airport in a union cab and $25 cab ride each way to Zihuat). Restaurant (1) not that great but the meal cooked by Anabella was wonderful! We ended up going into "the village" and finding taco stands and homes that open up and cook for visitors. A wonderful experience eating the local fair.
If you want a lazy vacation with plenty of hammock and beach time, punctuated by dips in the ocean or pool, this is it!
