“FANTASTIC! No reason to leave...”

I was nervous doing an all-inclusive in Mexico and getting trapped into bad food/service/rooms, thankfully I trusted the previous reviews and went with Dreams. WE LOVED IT!

My boyfriend and I went for a quick four day getaway and we did not want to leave, nor did we leave the resort.

Here are some tips from our stay - arrive early (we got there at 1:00) - we had a choice in rooms - we stayed in teh original tower which was lovely and we asked at check-in for a balcony, no problem also got a king size bed - it was a great room. No robes when we arrived but a quick call and they were there.

The restuarants are great, Portofino was our favorite- the service was excellent - lamb was great- carpaccio amazing! Seaside for a nice lunch, Oceana for dinner was great as well.. for breakfast too - much better than the buffet. But the best was room service on our balcony... lovely granoloa and fresh fruit and juices. El Patio we never went to...did not appeal to us... World Cafe we just did the one breakfast buffet and it was loud and not the best way to start a relaxing day in our opinion.

The pools - the center pool is party central - it was a bit much for us. The other two pools are much more relaxed for reading a book or a quiet swim without people drinking around you. The pool bar in the center pool gets that party going if that is your scene.

The beach - get your chairs by 10am - sun comes to the beach around 10 - the area over by the original tower and Oceana is nice and quiet and has a bar plus a server on the beach.

We tipped - a dollar a drink, five for dinner, ten on our last night because we loved our server, a dollar a bag, also tipped the maid. People appreciated it and their wage in Mexico is so low every bit helps.

It truly was a great place. If we had stayed longer we may have ventured out but we saw no reason to leave a place where we were treated so well and loved the food, atmosphere, etc.

We would definitely go back!

“They call this place "DREAMS"”

This hotel was absolutly awful, I booked the room after viewing it on line, these rooms looked beautiful. But to our suprise there was NO balcony, the couch in the room was soiled with ,only god knows, the linens on the bed were staind from top to bottom and the bed was pushed up to a concrete wall. How Romantic!!! It doesn't stop there, in the bathroom the hot water knob was broken, the scale was rusted and there was a standard size toilet seat on the elongated toilet bowl. So when anyone sat down they sat on the rim of the toilet bowl, how GROSS. The phone was broken and so was the safe, I offered to pay for an upgrade but they said they were all full. Sounds like a real nice six golden apple huh!!! If you plan on vacationing at this resort I suggest you book it somewhere else, this hotel was TERRIBLY DISCUSTING!!!!!!!

My wife and I recently returned from a 10-day stay at Dreams in PV. It long was our dream for our 2 daughters and hubbies to join us and this finally was it. I wont add much to the many excellent reviews except to say that we loved every minute.

We have been going to the same resort, essentially yearly, since 1991 when it was the Camino Real and then the Westin Camino Real. Overall I think the switch to Dreams has been positive, except we do miss the old elegant restaurant (where el Patio now is) that was La Perla ... it put all the good Dreams food to shame, but outside of that, all is good.

As has been said, the staff is a major part of the experience, and we have come to know a lot of them and look forward to seeing them each year. At the front desk, Javier and Oscar are great. The conceirge Gergorio has been there forever and always welcomes us "home."

Having said that, the switch to an AI has made us notice that most folks dont even know the excellent food and fun experiences to be had downtown PV.... we still try to take a few evenings and lunches down there, and also walk into town along the Conchas Chinas beaches onto Los Muertos beach and then over the river to the Malecon. There a plenty of good neighborhood restaurants as well as marvelous world-class upscale places to fit any budget.

One past complaint has been the hard beds .. but this time we saw them replacing the beds. Ours had been done and we were more than comfortable. The view from any room is spectacular.

What is not to like! BTW, I have always gotten very good rates using a travel agent to get me air-and-transfer packages thru companies like Apple Vacations, etc.

My best friend and I went on a much needed vacation and stayed at Dreams. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish! When we arrived we were in complete awe of the beauty. We went to the check in desk and were promptly greeted by one of the bellboys with a tray. On it were two hot towels and two glasses of champagne. We were welcomed to our "second home". We weren't able to get a room with a balcony but it didn't matter at all. The sliding glass doors opened up almost completely and we were able to see & hear the ocean. It was breathtaking!

The food was really really good at all the places we ate at on the resort. Portofino was our favorite place. It is an italian restaurant and the food was great and it looked really pretty when we got it. The servers were phenomenol! Sergio was particularly great! The Sea Side Grill has an amazing view of the ocean and the beach. The food we ate there was okay but it's totally worth it to eat there just for the view alone. We were able to watch little crabs on the beach from our table. It was fun. El Patio is the mexican restaurant there and it was really good too. The buffet (World Cafe) was enjoyable as well. There was always a huge variety of food there (breakfast & lunch). Lots of different things to choose from.

The people on the resort (staff) were all absolutely wonderful!!!! We were always greeted with smiles and we were truly treated like royalty! I have not one negative thing to say about any of the service we recieved. Each and every staff was fabulous!!!

The sunsets were spectacular!!! You need to see them to believe them!

The private beach was wonderful and the vendors that sell things on the beach each day were good. They had a good variety of goods to sell and I brought back a number of things from them.

They had a really good variety of shows each evening. We watched a mexican circus, a fireshow and attended a Mexican Fiesta night. Each activity was well-organized and fun!

I would love to see more of Mexico, but before I do, I will definitely return to DREAMS!!! It was an amazing experience that I want to have again!

“Had A Great Vacation at Dreams!”

I just returned from PTO Vallarta/Dreams and wanted to give you my thoughts on this vacation destination.

Our family of four, 15 yr son, 13 yr daughter, hubby and myself had a great time. We have been to PTO Vallarta many times but had not stayed at this hotel. We chose Dreams because of the convenience to town, which is wonderful.

We stayed in the old tower and I will say that the beds are hard, nothing a mattress pad couldn't fix. The rooms were not plush but clean and functional. The mini bar was always stocked and the maid service was always good. For our family this worked out just fine.

The food was good at all the restaurants, something for everyone's tastes. The best part is that you always view the ocean from all locations - very cool.

The beach is groomed every morning and the entire property is kept cleaned and beautiful.

The staff was also very friendly and seemed to go out of their way to serve you. I did bring $100 in singles for tipping, I highly recommend that as well.

I would absolutely recommend Dreams and plan on going back.
