“Wedding Day Perfection”

Playa Fiesta Beachclub & Hotel

It is with heavy hearts that we must leave Puerto Vallarta and Playa Fiesta. However, we are returning home with invaluable, timeless memories that were shared with family and friends, new and old alike. So, as our plane sits on the runway awaiting our departure, we feel overwhelmingly compelled to capture our experience for the world to read. It simply cannot wait.

Location, Location, Location
This quaint boutique hotel is nestled in the Bay of Banderas where the mountains meet the ocean. The pristine views create a sense of seclusion from the thriving city and beaches that are just a few miles away. Playa Fiesta’s ideal locale ensured that we did not miss a thing!

Unique Accommodations
Playa Fiesta’s accommodations offer a unique style and decor that is indicative of the local seaside culture. Very few rooms are the same. Some are very private, others connect, and some are multi-room suites that share a common area. All have unique views and features that appeal to varying preferences and needs, but none will disappoint. It is important to note that each room is assigned by you, so that your guests’ accommodations can be customized at your discretion.

World-Class Service
Playa Fiesta effortlessly offers the kind of service that giants in the hospitality industry spend millions of dollars on each year to attain. The front desk service promptly resolved any questions and/or requests that we had; the housekeepers were meticulous in their efforts to keep the hotel clean; the groundskeepers/maintenance support kept the facilities beautiful and functional; the kitchen staff kept us fed with the finest flavors and most superb cuisines; the wait staff/bartenders never let a plate sit, a glass get empty and certainly facilitated a lot of good times. We have never been to a hotel where we interacted with the entire staff almost daily. Then again, we have never been to a hotel where each and every staff member took the time to greet us with a smile by name just to make sure our experience was perfect. The staff truly made us feel as if we were the only guests that they have ever and will ever serve. It is evident that they pour their hearts and souls in their jobs in order to provide world-class service.

Food – Our Compliments to the Chef(s)
By no means are we food connoisseurs, but it doesn’t take an expert to know that Playa Fiesta served up the freshest and most delicious gourmet meals that we have ever tasted. The daily breakfast buffet offered eggs-to-order and authentic Mexican and traditional American-style dishes. In the same manner, the lunch menu appeals to all tastes. From burgers to taquitos, the chefs did not disappoint. We deemed each dinner the best we have ever eaten, as each night’s meal arguably out did the previous. Our selections were all a matter of tastes and preferences, but in all cases we give our compliments to the chef(s)!

Intoxicating Atmosphere
Describing the atmosphere of Playa Fiesta is perhaps the most difficult assessment we had to make. It is seemingly ineffable. It is the surreal culmination of all of the aforementioned factors as well as the vitality that you and your guests bring with you. The allure of this place is “intoxicating,” in every sense of the word. It would be a disservice to you and Playa Fiesta for us to even try to describe this intangible quality any further.

Wedding Day Perfection
Our decision to book Playa Fiesta more than a year ago was primarily driven by our desire to have a destination wedding, not just looking for a reputable place to vacation. Having witnessed a few destination weddings at all-inclusive resorts, we knew that it would take a little more research to find someplace that would facilitate a more personalized and private ceremony. Ultimately, Playa Fiesta’s boutique-style hotel, in-house wedding coordination and ideal locale satisfied all of our prerequisites.

From our initial contact with the wedding coordinator to the last dance at the reception, we never once had any apprehensions about our wedding day. Communication between us and Playa Fiesta was continuously open and honest. An updated status of the accommodations was emailed to us each time a new guest booked. Each and every option for flowers, cake, dinner, entertainment, ambiance and choice of minister was thoroughly explained to us by the wedding coordinator. Although, the decisions were ultimately ours to make, she offered sincere recommendations that proved to be invaluable to our experience.

There is so much left unsaid about how perfect our day was to us, but to each his and her own. We would just like to assure the brides and grooms to be that no matter how simple or eccentric you wish your dream wedding to be, Playa Fiesta can make it happen!

Priceless Value
Monetarily, the value of our stay at Playa Fiesta was comparable to, if not exceeded, that of an all-inclusive resort. All of the prices were reasonable and the quality was exceptional. However, the value of our collective experience was simply priceless.

Adam and Lindsay Burgess
Adam and Lindsay Burgess deserve a category all their own. Adam and Lindsay are the visionary entrepreneurs of Playa Fiesta. They invested in a hotel, but they are truly in the “people” business. Their hearts, souls, thoughts and emotions bolster their business model. Your experience at Playa Fiesta is seemingly worth more to them than their revenues. We were treated as guests in their home, and after sharing personal conversations and creating new memories together, we share a new friendship.

“Don't worry, just book!”

Playa Fiesta Beachclub & Hotel

Playa Fiesta is a magical place. Maybe it's all the mojitos and coronas, but when you are there, you won't be able to stop smiling. If you are a potential wedding couple, book right way! The people at this resort are warm and welcoming, the service so incredible, the weather so perfect, that I could not have hoped for a more phenomenal week. There are so many glowing, positive perfect reviews on this site...all of them true... and I thought I'd share a few small tips with the incoming couples!
1. Water: bottled water is included in the open bar. No need to run out to walmart and buy water - as are all beers and mixed drinks not made with "premium liquor," whatever that means. There are no "hidden costs" with the open bar.
2. Room discrepancies: it's there, but it's not what you think. For instance, the ground floor suites, though lacking in the superior views, ended up being where we put couples. The 2nd/3rd floor suites - while the balcony views were beautiful, actually has less amenities(less privacy, less closet space, and in some cases, shared bathrooms)
3. Proximity to town: There were reviews saying how far this hotel was from town, etc. It is a $6 10 minute ride to town, 15 minutes in traffic.
4. Activities: we rented the Bora Bora for our entire wedding party. It was absolutely worth it. It was way more fun than the standard rehearsal dinner. Lindsay arranged the whole thing.
5. Cost: I saw a review that said PF caters to larger budgets, and I think that's an unfair statement. The cost was reasonable...for the quality of the wedding. It's true that you can have a much cheaper wedding at a big all-Inclusive elsewhere - but then it would be an entirely different type of wedding.
6. Food/Drink: Get the dessert options! While the food was great and plentiful, there were no desserts that come standard with the buffets. I wish we'd have chosen the cupcakes/fried ice cream.
As the bride I was relaxed the whole week, and never worried about a thing except weird tan lines. Lindsay is an amazing planner - just trust her advice and go with the flow - I wish I could have her plan the rest of my life out!

All I can say is that this place knows how to throw a wedding. The atmosphere is laid back, everyone is incredibly friendly and some of the best staff i've ever encountered in a hotel. My best friend recently got married and Adam and Lindsay made the entire process easy and fun. Once we got there we were all treated like family, and were so upset to leave at the end of the week. If you are interested in doing a destination wedding, it doesn't get any better or more gorgeous than this place!

“Loving & Missing Playa Fiesta Hotel!”

Playa Fiesta Beachclub & Hotel

Gee, where should I start? I guess the event that was a wedding with over 40 people on Valentines Day 2008.

Upon arrival, I just flittered about the hotel with others in awe at how beautiful, breathtaking and totally tropical the hotel was - I was truly out of the USA and in the luxury of Mexico!

The staff: can you say we loved them, missed them, wish they were our buddies? Every moment (not just day) was a smile, rooms kept clean, no one was ever annoyed with a request and they all seemed refreshed and happy every day - well, who wouldn't at this place.

Owners: Lindsay and Adam, they know how to run a tip-top shape place and put together meaningful and breathtaking weddings – and, they are so young and cute to boot!

The Hotel & Wedding: very beautiful, white linen covered chairs, colored rose petals down the aisle, bamboo fans and shells for guests, the most beautiful flower arrangements and the view outside is to die for - truly, looks like a slice of heaven.

The food: Spectacular! Colorful! Plentiful! Good Variety! Lots of fruit available! And you can truly trust the filtered water and ice, not one person fell ill – plenty of bottled water available, too.

Okay, you get my gist - it was almost as if someone had sprinkled pixie dust over our entire group at Playa Fiesta. It surpassed our expectations, everyone was so pleased and happy - always having fun – one of our favorite things was to sit in the big bath water warm “infinity” type of pool with beverages, staring up at the stars and chatting/laughing into all hours of the night.

At the end of the trip, I even cried that I had to leave - as you can only have that first time A+ memorable experience once and it was truly memorable. I WILL SO BE BACK, can you tell?!

All I can say is FABULOUS!!! Fabulous staff, fabulous breakfasts, fabulous bar, fabulous rooms, fabulous pool and hottub and fabulous view. Amazing! Highly recommend this place for a wedding.
Only thing a little different was getting use to sleeping to the noise of the waves on the rocks, then when I returned home I couldn't sleep with it so quiet.
