We found this lovely treasure to be a pleasant surprise. Oldies (ages 64 and 68) we basked in the warmth of the sun, the hotel staff, the turquoise clean pool and hot tub, and loved all the deliciously prepared food at 3 stations (no lining up). Cheerful waiters, and bar staff were available at all times and our wishes were their command. The plumbing worked (no struggle with the toilet as one does with the arrogant English toilet) The shower also behaved, and turned on at a perfect temperature (no wrestling with the hot and cold) and didn't send piercing jets right at your chest or nether regions.
There was also a sweet niche in the shower stall for the soap, at a "just right " level , so no grappling for the soap (obeying Newton's Law) as it hits the floor. It didn't happen. Lots of fresh white towels too. Harmonious pieces of artwork, including large (about 2 feet in diameter) candles, eye-catching tiling, and subdued lighting are part of the charm of this hotel and along with the swaying palms, drecenas and other garden bushes and colourful flowers, well these complaining Canadians had absolutely nothing to complain about. We Loved it.
