“Absoluty Terrible”

Luna Palace Hotel

We just returned from a week at this dump. The "ONLY" positve thing that I can say is that the suites were big with good views. The hotel was understaffed, untrained and over worked. The description of the hotel is misleading to say the least. There is only one place to eat and the "buffet" (for a lack of a better word) choices were limited and it didn't matter what they served, it was "cold". They say they have an all inclusive menu...they do, you just can't order from it. Snack bar? Looked for it, never did find it!!! If you want good food go across the street to Heather's Place. Good service, good food, good prices!!!
There was no entertainment, no water sports and no service. The bar service was terrible!!! No supplies on a daily basis and in fact, one day it didn't open up until 1 in the afternoon. I brought up our groups concerns and the management did nothing to rectify anything. In fact, it seemed to get worse. The rooms appear clean until you take a closer look. The maids did the bare minimum to say the least. Getting clean towels on a regular basis was a challenge. It appears that the problems at this hotel are compounded by the the staff from Signature vacations. They were never there and when we complained nothing was done. I will never recommend this hotel or SIGNATURE to anyone!

We took our staff of 9 employees to the Luna Palace for Christmas. The Hotel and location was beautiful. Good thing we had low
expectations because it was better than we anticapated.

The Rooms were nice clean, big (we found out theres a extra charge for
puking in your bed.)TOO much TEQUILLA!!!!

Sore back from the beds. Beautiful view from balcony. It was low season so it was extremly quiet. The buffet was closed and it had one Ala Carte Restaurant. With a very small menu. Food was OK if you liked
clubhouses. The bOOZE POURED UNLIMITED. The beer was always cold and the bartenders were lots of fun. The pool was nice and warm. Lots of fish action on the ocean(we seen a huge whale). In all it was Great for a 3 STAR holiday (REMEBER 3STAR RATED MEXICAN is NOt The same standards of 3Star Canadian! But go with an open and optimistic mind and you'll have an AWESOME time!

Good things: rooms were clean!! and very very beautiful....all rooms are facing the ocean and ours had an AMAZING view!!! I went with three 20 year old girls a week after spring break and there wasnt as many young people as we would have liked...:( But if you are planning a family vacation this is the perfect place for you!! If i could do it again i would not go all inclusive.. the food kinda sucked!! not too bad though if you went right at the start, and oh they make anything that you want if oyu just ask! There is a ton of restaurants around it and they all have really good food. I encourage you to go down to the markets and see what mexico is really about, and oh the bus!! cheapest way to get around. Even if you arent yound get a hold of studen tours, they are usually walkign up and down the beaches with flyers... they charge 200 pasos ($20 can.) for all you can drink at a different bar in mexico everynight!! realyl really fun! warning again this place isnt all about the parties, so if your young i would recomend cancun or somewhere else but couples and families this is the place for you!!

“Not the same”

My sister and I have been coming to the luna palace for many years.
This year we were here for a family vacation ,my daughter and grandaughter and 2 friends stay at the peublo bonito (we own there).
My sister and i stay at the luna for 2 weeks and in that 2 weeks , we did not get clean sheets ,but the maid did turn the bottom sheet around to the other side. How do i know, because i had a cut and some blood got on the sheet. To do that ,why not just change it.Do the maids get a deal if they can get away with it?
The activities have not happened in the last 4 times here (&we always stay for 2 weeks)and the buffet was at best ,aweful.
I was told by one of the staff ,that the principal owner had died and the children were taking over, if that was the case, they need to take a look at what was working before and change it back.Even on the web page it says that we could go to the oceano and dine there but when we asked it was"NO"we couldn't

“The worst Ever, discusting and unsanitary”

Luna Palace Hotel

For 6 years we have had a fantastic time at the Luna Palace, this year was not the same and we will never stay there again. The pool has fecies in it and sewage the entire time. Here is our stay in a nut shell. I will say to there credit they are refunding out entire stay for us and the reservationest were both kind and understanding to our situation.

*Paid for an all inclusive package $2000.00. Two days into the trip they took the all inclusive away stating that they no longer offer it, even though it is still on there web site.
*the bed was a box spring only- we took pictures to prove it
*The pool was not swimable and they blamed it on the pump not working, literally you could see sewage through out the pool.
*Food in the restaurant was not eatable we had to eat else where for every meal as the conditions were discusting, the buffet was something out of a bad prison movie.
*No poolside activities were offered - when it clearly states it on the web site
*Restrooms had fecies on the floor and walls
*we asked for two towels and were refused, they only allow two your entire stay
*Sheets were never changed and were full of sand and room would not cool off under 80 degree's

I can handle any situation but when it comes to my health and well being, I have to let other traveliers know not to stay here. there are several hotels which we looked at while we were there and ended up spending everyday at the Pueblo Bonito just a block away, there pool was amazing and great food, Highly recommended along with the sunday brunch. Amazing hotel they treated us kind and the conditions were amazing. I am not a high roller but I expect to have the accomidations I paid for, unfortunately after 6 years at the same hotel we will never be going back to the luna palace. I paid for all inclusive and had to eat out and drink at another hotel daily.
