“Be ware!”

Club Del Sol Acapulco

We stayed two nights of our seven night stay in Acapulco. We only stayed the second night so we would not be double-charged for the second night. This hotel is not as advertised on the glorious web sites. The pictures of the pool and scenery are not even close. The rooms are not only dirty, but disgusting. The hotel bar was always scarce. The fitness room was non-existent. We didn't make it to the restaurant, but we literally only slept in this room because we had already paid for it.

My advice, go to the Hotel Emporio Continental like we did. The rooms are accommodating and the pools are the best on the beach!

“Look for something else”

The Rooms
Not in the best condition, there are only several rooms which are livable. As for the rest of the rooms they are just plainy dirty. The brochure claims that the hotel has a kitchennete. However the fridge, freezer and the oven all didn't work.

The Staff
Mixed reviews -
There was about a total of about 5 staff members who seemed like they liked their job and catered to the guest.

As for the rest of the staff they seem like they were just passing the time. The women serving the drinks were usually unfriendly, slow, and dull. This caused a lot of wasted times waiting at the bar to get a drink as they worked at a turtle pace.

The Bar -
There seemed to be a limited supply of water. On numerous occasions I requested water and there was no water available to drink. This is a big turn-off as water is needed in Mexico to stay hydrated.

Another big negative was signing off for drinks. Every single time you ordered a drink you had to sign a receipt with your room number. This is probably there way to control the staff from drinking the alcohal. However it was a nuacense as you had to wait for the bartender to write everything down.

The pool -
Too shallow... Clean though

Food -
The worst part of the trip. It was discusting, they served the same food for both lunch and dinner. It seemed like they kept out the meals all day w/o changing the dishes once.

They also had a menu where you could order from. The menu was full of American dishes, Hambugers, Hot-dogs, Pizza, Club Sandwiches. Not the greatest food though, but better then the buffet. However still ended up eating out atleast once a day.

Summation -
Stay away

“Hotel is under contruction & has many problems”

After checking in, we discovered that the toilet handle didn't work. Insead of immediately moving us to another room we had to wait half an hour for them to view it themselves. Then we were moved to the room with the problems below.

*The ceiling in our room had so much mold on it that the room smelled.
*One of the two elevators didn't work. Since each only had a capacity of 5 people we always had to walk down 5 flights of stairs.
*Extremely loud music was played until 1:00 AM every night.
*This property is also under construction. The front entrance is completely blocked, exterior windows are missing, & there are holes in the ceiling.

I can expand the list but I think you get my point. I definitely wouldn't stay here.

We arrived there on the 23th december at 6 in the morning and we found what kind of room it was, dirty, not clean at all, old ans stinky
blanket on the bed had a big hole in it. The window that was supposed to be big wasnt big at all it was small and dirty, the view was on the top
of some old building and was full of bird ----. The air conditionning was full of dirth and the sealing and wall was full of moisture in the bathroom also. We ask for an other room and they made us visit the other room at 10 in the morning and it was worse then the first one. We went to eat to see the restaurant in front of
the hotel because (it wasnt in the hotel). Dirty, old, bad service, and the food was discusting. There was water that fell from the pipe on the seeling, folling on the table were people ate. We ask for the nolitour agent to change hotel, and no body didnt know where they were, and didnt no how to reach them, we had to wait until the briefing at 4:45.
We visit the rest of the hotel, the pool was dirty, the water slides paint was peeling, the bridges ramp over the pool were dangerous because
they were full of rust and they were missing pieces and we could of got hurt. They was suppose to have 4 bars, but only 2 was open, the one at the beside the pool, was close, broken without music. The one on the top of the hotel was open without drinks and the half of the top was separated by long chairs. The hot tub was close and not finish being build, they were only 6 long chairs available for all the people in the hotel. When Angela from Nolitour came for the briefing we asked her to change hotel, and she told us she knew we will ask for that because we were not the first one to complain about this hotel. Every body at the briefing asked the same thing. She tried to find same kind of hotel (same numbers of stars) and she said everything was supposed full.
We didnt know if it was true or false. Finally she transfered us to Emperio continental hotel. This was a little summary of what this hotel was like and how much bad service, accomodation, cleaning, they had.
OUR SUGGESTION IS TO NEVERRRRRRRRRRR GO THERE!!!!!!!!
DONT BELEIVE THE PICTURES THEY PUT ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!

“Great Hotel - Great Rates- Great Ambiance”

Club Del Sol Acapulco

Club del Sol is not a luxury hotel, it does not advertise that. It is a 4 star hotel, conveniently located at the middle of Acapulco's Bay (not beachfront, across the main street "costera" from the beach, 5 min. walk). Rooms are equipped with full kitchenettes, good for anytime-snacks or meal.
Rates are very low in US dlls, always check rates directly at hotel. It has one of the best, maybe the best Sports restaurant & bar with satellite tv, I could watch 5 NFL games at the same time. The ambiance is great, I was there last november(low season) and the occupancy looked high compared to other hotels I passed walking, many of them looked deserted, compared to Club del Sol which looked very lively day&night. In short, a nice 4 star hotel without spending a fortune, and getting more than your money's worth.
