Legends was great over all for us. First off we were booked for a garden side room, across the busy street, when we arrived they had us set up for a room on the beach side, cool! Legends is right in the middle of all the action, food, nightlife, the Bourbon Beach club is right close for great live reggae. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to the sister resort Samsara. What a beautiful place, now we certainly didn't mind the vendors that were constantly approaching us, but our day at the cliffs was so quiet and peaceful, and fun. there are plenty of places for the adventurous to jump off the cliffs! I don't think we would stay at Samsara just because we really enjoyed the vibes on the beach, and the cliffs are just a short shuttle ride. Michael, the beach security was amazing! He made sure all was Irie not just for us but all Legends guests. Respect Michael! And the rest of Legends staff was great. Respect to Miller, and Ramsey at the front gates! Legends is definitely a no frills place but that is what we like, and for the time we spent in our room it was more than adequate.Love and Respect to Legends!

My boyfriend and I went to Jamaica for my birthday. We wanted it to be a "relaxing" vacation. We stayed at Legends in Negril. We loved it. The staff was super friendly. We had the "all-inclusive" package which included our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). It was usually buffet style so you could eat until you were content. The food was good, nothing to get too excited about. Our room was nice, we had ocean view, but it was a little blocked by the resort's sign that is on the beach. But it was still lovely. The room had french doors that when opened allowed for a nice ocean breeze to come it.
Legends also has a sister hotel called Samsara, which we could take the shuttle to and from. Samsara is situated on some cliffs about 30 feet above the ocean. It was beautiful. We jumped off the cliffs into the ocean, got massages on the cliff and went scuba diving. We also napped on the mattress type lounge beds.
We had a wonderful time.... we didn't go outside the resort too much, like I said we wanted to just relax. We did do a little souvenir shopping across the street from Legends.
Also, we paid the extra money to have a shuttle pick us up and bring us back to the airport - which was over an hour away, would have cost much more if we took a taxi. The shuttle was more informative anyway, our driver had a microphone and gave us a little history of the island and some info about the little towns we were driving through - it was like a mini-tour.

Overall, our stay was wonderful, the staff was great and very friendly. We would definately recommend it. We would also stay there again.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Legends, we are from Malta and we LOVED our time spent there. The staff, Michael security, Mr, Paul the manager, Lovine in the Bars, Ginoy and Milicent waiting staff, in fact all the staff were great and the food although slightly repetative was always tasty. We went during spring break and the hotel next door was a bit noisy during the day, that was our only negative point. You pay for what you get, the hotel needs a lick of paint but it has character. It was good to tip these people, they thouroghly deserved a buck or two as they work hard. Siuated exactly on the beach, there is no dress code for dinner, so go as you please, very relaxed and no problems man,

This is not a budget hotel if you are from Europe, maybe it is if you are from the USA because of the distance but not for me.
So maybe i expected to much who knows.
I stayed with my sister for 3 weeks at this hotel and i did not like it at all. The food was awfull. Pubic hair on the hamburgers, the same food each and every day. I found the service horrible.
Never been served so badly. The manager tried to do his best. Thank god for Orrit and Michael who made our stay at the beach a big pleasure. The sunsets where beautifull. Take a boat trip to the small Island and eat fresh lobster, take a trip to mayfield river!
Have lunch at Alfreds and go and eat at Kuyaba next door.
As a European whe are not used to the fact that you can not be topless on the beach because of the conservative Americans. Whom, may i say, were very loud and drink and smoke weed as if their lives depend on it ...but topless.... NO WAY. I find this unbelievable.
But than again i am just a stupid European. Maybe i stayed to long at this place but i think it gave me a good idea. So if you go there go for a short time follow my tips and pease give my greetings to the guys on the beach.
