Part of our group went on a side trip offered by Royal Carribean, so the rest of us used our bus pass, and took the bus from Kings Wharf, to the southern beaches.
We were going to go to Warwick Long Beach, but a lady I met on the bus recommended Horseshoe Bay. I asked her if she was Bermudian, since I didn't hear an accent. She said "Yes, I'm Bermudian, but I went to school at the Moravian Academy in Green Pond, Pennsylvania." I live 10 miles from Green Pond ! It's a small world.
We got off the bus at the beach and walked down the path. We stopped in at the snack bar for lemonades and a sodas, then went to the beach. How beautiful !!
I snapped about 20 pictures. If you walk farther east, there is another cove. It's more secluded and I got some great photo opps there, with the waves cresting and crashing between the rocks.
You can see the pink in the sand when you are there; it doesn't really show up in the photos. And there was a beautiful young woman jogging along the beach - memories of Bo Derek in "10".
When I return to Bermuda, I willl return to Horseshoe Bay !
