If the Park and Grand Hyatt's in Tokyo are too expensive for you, The Century Hyatt is a great alternative with flawless service, clean, large, comfortable rooms and in a decent location.
There is a free shuttle bus from Shinjuku station to and from the hotel that leaves every 20 to 30 minutes, which I found particularly convenient since the hotel is a little bit far from the station. But location wise its still awesome, across the street from the Tokyo Metropolitan government building, which has a free observation deck on the top floor. (Highly recommended)
When I walked in, I was greeted by an awe inspiring 150 foot Atrium, with a view of the lit elevators which will give you a few of the atrium and then outside to view the skyline. Front desk staff was very fast and efficient and helped me schedule limousine bus service to Narita the day after and access to the PC center, located on the 1st floor lobby.
I found the accommodations generously spacious and stocked with everyone a traveler would need. The King sized bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, period. The room also had a 25 inch TV with satellite and local programming (Not to mention the biggest list of naughty pay-per-view programming I have ever seen, in any hotel.) Programmable keyless safe, fax machine, and much much more.
There’s a sky pool on the 27th floor if you’d like to enjoy a few laps. On lobby level is the Boulogne Coffee House, with a view of the well kept gardens outside and a great place to have breakfast with friends or family. I personally recommend the Eau de Vie Bar if you’re looking to relax, meet new people, and drink everything on the menu.
And priced at around $200 a night, that’s a bargain compared to the Park and Grand Hyatt, considering the level of service you’re getting.
