“Keio Plaza Shinjuku - Delightful stay in great location.”

Couple and young teenage son chose Keio Plaza from reviews and capacity to accommodate triple booking. (We experienced difficulty trying to make a reservation for a triple room in Tokyo). From other reviews in Tokyo regarding size of rooms, we expected a very cramped room – how wrong!
We stayed on the 24th floor of the south tower. Room was more than adequate with 2 double beds and a made-up double sofa bed across one wall! Still enough room for our suitcases, etc. After arriving late in the evening after a long flight, my son appreciated the fact that the sofa bed was ready to fall into after a shower.
The entire experience was delightful – staff very pleasant, friendly and ever so helpful.
Amenities were the best we’d experienced over a month away in Canada, USA & Japan. Toothbrushes & paste, hair ties, cotton buds/balls, razors, slippers, dressing gown, etc.

Great location within relatively easy walking distance to Shinjuku station, Isetan & Keio Plaza Dept stores and numerous other stores, restaurants, cafes & bars.
Since we were tired on our arrival we also appreciated the great little convenience store on the 2nd level that was well stocked with snacks and drinks.
Narita Shuttle picks up and drops off from the front door and Keio Plaza were more than happy to hold our luggage from checkout until late afternoon when we were due to return to the airport via the Shuttle.
For convenience, on our first morning we opted for a good breakfast at the hotel prior to walking the city, and were not disappointed. The continental breakfast I chose was more than adequate (couldn’t finish it all) and the boys were very happy with the buffet.
We would’ve loved to have stayed longer – instead we’ll make a point of returning.

A huge hotel in a great location. If I went to Tokyo again I would definately stay there. Right next to the tube and only a short walk to the train station, you can walk via an underground passage too if it's raining.

Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. You can get meals for about £5 - £10 in the local restaurants but hotel meals are £50 so it is expensive!

Rooms are lovely, beds comfy and really clean. So much stuff in room, they provided hair bobbles, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton wool, ear buds, slippers, dressing gown, safe etc.

We were on the 26th floor in the south tower and the views over Toyko were amazing. Huge window so you can lay in bed and look out.

Hotel has shops inside, including small supermarket which sells lots of good food, bento box meals, salads and snacks etc which are all really cheap.

Staff helpful and always happy. So huge, almost got lost in the lobby. I can't recommend this hotel enough, just loved it!

“Great hotel - do choose a Plaza Premier room”

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo

Thanks to the reviews on this site we chose the Keio Plaza to stay at and we were not disappointed. I'm really glad that we paid the extra and booked a Plaza Premier room as it had been re-furbished and the decor was muted but very smart.

Room was kept immaculately clean by house-keeping and the amenities were just delightful. The Concierge service was very helpful and booked us in to the Okura hotel for a traditional Japanese tea ceremony (highly recommended).

Everyone in this hotel was very helpful, we found out that was the Japanese way.

Location of hotel is good - very close to Shinjuku station, but I'd suggest that you grab a cab if you have heavy luggage when you arrive.

Breakfast was included in the price and was plentiful - fruits, cereals, breads, Japanese style, omelette's etc...

Do try out the Sky bar on the 45th floor, but be warned they don't mix the greatest cocktail and the bar food is a little disappointing. The g&t was the best bet but the views were well worth the lackluster imbibe! They will try to sit you in the lounge area outside of the bar but the bar has far more atmosphere with live music (typically jazz duo/trio) every night

If you like gardens or anything botanical then Shinjuku Gyoen is a 'must'. We were there just pre Cherry-blossom and it was so serene and beautiful.

Finally, for an alternative night out there is now an 'Ice-bar' in Tokyo. For 45 mins (that's how long they allot you) it was a fun start to an evening - it's in Rappongi Hills about 15 mins away by subway from Shinjuku.

This is a great place to stay right next to Shinjuku rail station (make sure you remember which exit you need from the station because you WILL get lost!).

Rooms were great, service good and all staff were very helpfull.
