Close by not too Close
This hotel is across Canal Street from the French Qtr. The front desk is polite and helped us with things to do in the area or where to find restaurants. The mandatory valet parking was expensive but there is NO street parking and I would be worried about my rental car on the streets. The jacuzzi is always empty so take a night and take a dip. The street car stop is directly in front of the hotel and you should take it to the Garden district for a good afternoon walk.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
The restaurant on the corner of St. Louis Street and Chartres Street is great! get there early for some happy hour drinks to cool down, watch the a baseball game and stay for dinner and desert. The open doors and A/C make it very inviting. It is a small place but great food. We went 3 times in our weeks stay.

Very welcoming
The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I was greeted. Breakfast was great and the waiters were friendly. I am certain to stay here again

Close to all that matters
The hotel was right next to a trolly stop, on Canal Street and only 1 minute from Bourbon Street. Quiet at night and a relaxing jacuzzi and mini store for late night munchies. We really had a wonderful time there in New Orleans. Great location but beware of the valet parking fee of $26 a day + taxes and be sure to order to your car 20 minutes before you need it. The fee meant the car was safe and ready when I wanted it to be. The bar in the lobby has nothing going on really, and skip the breakfast downstairs and go to Cafe Du Monde :-)
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Go to Cafe Du Monde for breakfast every day and bring cash, no cards accepted. We got up early and got in the A/C seatign area. If you get there too late the outside is hot and humid but still good food.

Will stay there again
I stayed at this particular Courtyard this past weekend 7/10-7/13. I found the hotel to be clean and the staff to be very helpful. I asked the front desk for recommendations of restaurants and about the trolley line, that stops right in front of the hotel. I will stay here when visiting NOLA again.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
I was trying to save as much money as possible on this trip, so I booked the queen room, next time I will splurge and get the room with a king bed. The queen rooms are a little small. If I had been traveling with someone, it would have been very tight. But overall very clean and nicely decorated

Very happy
Everything about this stay was great! We were 2 blocks from the french quarter and we could easily ride the trolley, catch a cab, or walk to anything. The staff was so nice and available to anything we needed. The breakfast was excellent. Our bed was unbelievable comfortable-it was hard to get out of it every morning because we just wanted to keep sleeping! I would gladly stay there again.

A clean, comfortable, convenient place
The Courtyard New Orleans by Marriott was a good place to stay. It is located off Canal Street, and so is quite convenient to the French Quarter without having to pay French Quarter prices. I dont usually spend much time in my room, so this place was just right when I needed to sleep or clean up. What more do you need? The price was good, the staff friendly and helpful, the room attractive and clean but nothing special. I would certainly use it again.
