Hotel was acceptable. You get waht you pay for. Service was good. Slots were tight.

the only inconvience is having to park in the garage and constantly have to get validated whenever i went out. otherwise, the king bed room was HUGE and had a great view from the unique window. elevator renovation is noticably better

Hotel was ok, Our room was okay but old, chipped paint and toilet seat. The buffet in the hotel was awful!!!!They did give me a free up-grade upon check in (I asked for one) and that was nice. Room service was pretty good but $7.99 for a pot of coffee was a bit extreme.

Good place to stay

The only thing missing are the Queen beds.

Fitzgeralds Midweek

Overall happy with the hotel. Self parking is mildly inconvenient, across the street, and you have to get validated every time. I didn’t use the valet, though it looked like they were very "on the ball." they didn’t have any non-smoking rooms, which i would have preferred, but the room I got didn’t smell like smoke at all. The location of the hotel, coupled with the price and the overall quality made it a great choice for 3-4 days in Reno. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend this to others in need of an affordable, clean, quiet and safe place to stay.

Affordable with a pleasant staff. Dealers are friendly. Its just a real comfortable place to stay within easy reach of all the other casinos.

Very convenient

I loved that we didn’t have to walk forever through the casino to get to our rooms. Many hotel/casinos are that way. You basically walk across the lobby and you are at the elevator. The rooms were large enough and the staff very friendly. You are right on the strip, but not in a mega hotel.

This motel was right on the strip, close to other casinos, yet less expensive. Several restaurants in the motel for convienence.

Clean, No Frills, Comfortable Hotel

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased. We had a great view of the strip. A couple lightbulbs were out in our room, but no big deal. We liked having 2 sinks, 1 inside bathroom and 1 outside. We found it odd having a frosted window between the 2 sinks. You could see the shadow of anyone using the restroom. Maid service was polite and knocked before coming in to clean. Beds were average with 2 huge comfy pillows, plenty of towels. This hotel has no pool, which we were aware of ahead of time. Valet service worked great because you could call ahead for your vehicle. They had no problem keeping our car in front if we were going to be back down in less than 1/2 hour. Our room did not have a hotel binder so e were not aware of the services that the hotel had. For the price, it was a great deal. The hotel was clean, but the casino was extremely cold. We would stay again.

No wonder the low price

This hotel is definately old and in need of some serious updates. The rooms were not very clean and there were rust rings in the toilet, tub, and sink. however, the beds were quite comfy. And was right on the strip within walking to everything there. Also, parking is across the busiest street in Reno.

Will never stay there again.

Casino employees were belligerent and rude. Food service was awful. Cook and waiters argued loudly! Food we ordered never did come! They were out of what we ordered and the cook wouldn’t tell the waiter! Jack hammering started at 7:30 am just outside our window. No sleep possible! Just what you need after gambling late. Good grief!

Ok accomodations

Hotel room was comfortable. Nice cool room on a hot day outside. Room overlooked a railroad track that had a couple noisey trains pass during the night. Self parking was not convient.

Plenty of gambling available. No time for shows.

Hotel was definitely worth the price. It was near a train line so that could be annoying at times.

Had a good time.

My son and I had a great time at the hotel. We enjoyed the restaurant. We did not win any money, but had fun anyway. We will be back again someday.

Very disappointed

Only air fan on not air conditioner-room was hot and stuffy. My wife came home with numerous bites - we believe the bed she slept in had bed bugs. We will not return to the Fitzgerald.

Good times

The hotel is located in the middle of the strip, and is within walking distance to other casinos and souvenier shops. The buffet was small, but the food was good. The cafe was good too. The room we had was extremely comfortable and clean. In fact we spent most of our time there just relaxing. I wish there had been more TV channels though. The one thing that I didn’t like was that the parking garage was across the street. Other then that, we were quite happy with our stay.

One of Reno’s very best Hotels

The Fitzgeralds has got to be one of Reno’s best hotels. The rooms are clean and spacious. The people that work there are extreamly helpful. I have been to Reno numerous time but this was my first time staying at this particular hotel but it definatly wont be my last. I have recomended it to other friends all ready.

The best deal on the strip

Clean and comfortable room, GREAT view, but no good cable,other than that I enjoyed my stay, And go hungry great food.

Everything was ok except parking which require the hotel resident validation ticket every time out. Special treatment should be managed to the logterm residents. Parking security was excellent! Thank you.

Great for penny pinchers

The fitz is a fine place to stay for those who are traveling on a budget. The room was clean and spacious; no complaints about housekeeping. However, the fitz lacks the class that other nearby hotels offer. I kept having to go to other hotels/casinos to eat, shop, and for entertainment. Bottom line- fine room on the cheap if you want to save your money for other things and don’t mind walking elsewhere for everything else. If you want all those things where you stay, you might consider staying elsewhere.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There is no regular shuttle that runs from the airport to the fitz. Cab fare is about $15. You can make arrangements with the hotel for a shuttle 24 hours in advance of when you need it, or take the city bus for $2.00- Reno city buses are surprisingly clean, and run every half hour.

Very Nice for the money!

My room was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were always friendly and responsive. My only complaints were the parking (across the street in a parking structure) and the lack of a non-smoking area in the casino. Also, this is not a place to bring your kids as there is nothing for them to do here. But it is a decent place to stay and for the price, you can’t beat.

Good food...

The over all experience was good...! The food at the hotel was very good in all the dining rooms and buffet. The bed was a little hard for our liking and even though we had a non-smoking room, we found it hard to fall asleep because all we could smell was smoke from the rest of the hotel. Thank goodness the windows open on the 14th floor which allowed the wind to blow in some fresh air...!
