Thinking of St Lucia and like to relax in a pool float with drink in hand prefer a lazy river type area as I do not swim==any suggestions for a hotel?

Jalousie Plantation has a large and lovely pool!! You'd pretty much have it all to yourself as most people are in the sea.

If you are into quiet and relaxation, and do not want to be in the midst of the tourist hub in Castries, consider the All-Inclusive Coconut Bay.

It's mere minutes from the airport, (the other resorts are north and quite a bit farther away).

The adult pool, quite isolated from the main pools is

only chest deep on a 6 footer, so no peril.

They do have a lazy river for you, and a swim up

bar conveniently located right by it.

In fact there are quite a few bars to serve you, so you will not have to worry about a cold one.

Yes, even one at the adult pool, too...

The beach is great for sunning; (take your SPF, it's so close to the equator that you will scorch!), some are put off by the sea weed that washes up, but it's cleaned every day, and didn't bother us one bit.

You will need to hire a car if you choose to go shopping, because this place is quite remote, but we loved it, and also liked that it WAS outside of the commercialized end of the island.

Great staff, clean rooms, solid food, and good A La Carte's.

Check out my review if you want more details and some pics.

Cheers...

I would also check out getting a plunge pool with your room - it is very private and relaxing. We stayed at Ti Kaye on St. Lucia and loved it.
