Understand these hotels are technically located in Cheektowaga, but that forum seems to attract pretty low visitor numbers, so hoping to get some insight here. My wife, daughter and mother-in-law are heading to Buffalo this fall for a 3 day shopping spree (God help me) and are looking for a nice place to stay that's close to shopping, near some restaurants and things to do, comfortable rooms, etc. Love any advice or personal experience sent my way.

You are in the right forum....

The Homewood is clearly the nicer property and it should reflect in the rate. The Millenium seems to have a mixed reputation. Great for location, restaurant, pool and service. Rooms however are a bit tired. The owners have steadily maintained and invested in the property but have yet to address the guest rooms properly.

Just one more thought. Check out the Garden Place Hotel. It's a very good property and a value good value. It's near Exit 49 off the Thruway, and near lots of restaurants - some chain; some not - and accessible to Transit Road shopping, not too far from Walden Galleria, too.
