Hi there,

We're coming back on the Martha's Vineyard ferry into New Bedford and need to get to Boston Logan airport. What is the best way to get there? Is there a bus or train that we can take?

I think the bus is the best was... It is called Dattco and you can catch it downtown. It's a litte walk from the Ferry but not to bad.

Peter Pan has bus service out of NB but you would have to check their schedule to see when they have a bus leaving from the downtown terminal. The terminal is within walking distance from the docks. It is all uphill though but not bad at all. I mention that just in case there are health issues. There is no commuter rail from NB to Boston. (We've been waiting forever). The closest MBTA stop is in Lakeville , MA. Check their schedule because I think they have limited service in the evening and on weekends.

You would be better off taking a Steamship Authority ferry into Woods Hole, and picking up a Peter Pan bus right at the terminal to Logan. It's also a much cheper/frequent ferry service than out of New Bedford.
