The Regattabar at the Charles Hotel should have something going on for you two. It's across the river in Cambridge, but close to where you will be staying. They always have good live jazz acts there. Go to Charles Hotel website to see if anybody's playing during your stay.

Another one I can think of is Scullers Jazz Club. It's about 3-4 miles from your Inn and would require taking a cab. I think it's on Soldiers Field Road but not sure. Once again, live jazz acts there too.

Finally, I think there is even one at Fanueil Hall but it's slipping my mind. It's a jazz cafe. JT's I think it's called.

Sorry, but the Charles Hotel is not close to where your staying. I was thinking of another hotel in Cambridge. Both Scullers and The Charles require a taxi. My bad.

OK, you must think I'm nuts now but you can take the T red line to Harvard stop for the Regattabar, not a taxi. I'm not thinking too well tonight. Sorry.

You may need a cab back if you stay out late night as the T stops running around 12:30-1am
