I'll be taking my nephew to his first sox game on 6/6. I'd like to see if he could get somme autographs. When and where would be the best place for this. I intend to be around the park by 1230pm for a 355pm start time.

Autograph Alley is on Yawkey Way, but it doesn't include any current members of the team. It's more for people who would like a former members autograph. They have former players like Luis Tiant. I'm not sure your nephew would care about getting those autographs. As far as the new players go, it's nearly impossible to get their autographs while they come and go to the park. The players parking lot used to be a chain link fence and is where I got Yastremski's autograph decades ago, but it's now totally blocked out for privacy. The best way is to go in as soon as the gates open and try and get down front where the rest of the kids/adults are. Sometimes they sign and sometimes they don't.

Hi, I agreee with Will - if you go in to the Park early and hang down in the stands near where they take BP - MAYBE you can get autographs (kids usually have an easier time of it) Good luck, have fun!

Hi James,

Hope you don't mind me asking but you mention the game on 6/6 as having a start time of 3.55 p.m.? My husband has tickets for a game on 6/6 but it is showing as an evening game.......has the time changed? (He will be flying in from the UK on that day so just need to confirm!!!)

Thanks

Your husband's game is at night, not afternoon so don't worry. James has another post where he mentions he has tickets to a game 6/7. Maybe he has the dates and times mixed up. The game on 6/6 starts at 7:05

james, since you will be there early enough and i assume you or your nephew has a camera, you can get some nice pix of the players arriving for the game in their street clothes.

on the corner of van ness and yawkey way you will see other people hanging around with baseballs, pictures, and baseball cards waiting for players to arrive. there is a bicycle type barricade there for the security to let the players in driving their own cars. they hop out and fenway has staff people park their cars for them. they will smile and wave to you for some nice photos and very rarely if someone is in a good mood they will sign something. nice to see the vechicles they drive also...lots of fancy "Hummers" Bently's, and high priced autos. Papi drove up in a little yellow sports car convertible one day and the front plate said "Come To Papi". couldn't get my camera out in time for that one, but we have numerous pix of "Beckett, V-Tek, Youk, Lugo, etc...and even got some great shots of Barry Bonds who waved to us. you are only 10 feet away so don't have to have a fancy camera with a big zoom lens.

also watch the Taxis pulling up to drop off players (mostly visiting team), and we caught Kyle Schynder walking up the street last year and he signed for us. once you do get inside do as the others have stated.

ps if you want an idea of what kind of pix we have send me a "PM" and I'll send you a few of our pix.

My daughter loves Varitek and i got a shot of him bending over getting something out of his trunk...nice butt shot LOL.

i work 16 hr shifts sat and sun but "PM" your email adress and I'll send a few pix on monday.

best of all...ENJOY
