Can anyone tell me what the closest hotel in proximity to the GVR is? I am staying at GVR in August and my relatives want to stay somewhere a bit cheaper. Any suggestions? Anything within walking distance is optimal. Thanks for the help.

There isn't anything really within walking distance. A few options are within quick driving distance. The Fiesta Henderson, not to be confused with the Fiesta Rancho, is 3 exits East of GVR and the rates are considerably lower. It is owned by Station Casinos, same as GVR. It would take about 10 minutes (all freeway) to travel between the 2. There are also some rentals on VRBO.com that are apartments in the GVR attached "District", not sure about their rates. It's August, our low season, so you may be able to negotiate. In that case they would be within walking distance. Hope this helps!
