We want to stay somewhere between St Augustine and Daytona. We're just passing through and looking for a decent and safe hotel at a lower price. thands so much.

Have a look at these two websites to give you and idea of which hotels are in the area you're passing:

www.travelcoupons.com

www.roomsaver.com

The rates quoted are walkup rates, but I'm sure you will not have a problem walking in and getting a room.

Both websites have booklets that you can find at all Welcome Centers as you cross a state line. But the booklets may be inaccessible if you come through when the Welcome Centers are closed. You can also print the coupons off the website if you find one or two or three that may be suitable. The RoomSaver one can be found at all Denny's restaurants.
