Punz, it is the mexicanish restaurant at the OceanWalk towards the end. I think it actually has 2 sides of the restaurant, sort of one is the bar area but you can eat in there and if I remember it is sort of an open air place and the other is inside and semed more like meal eating area. Wasn't overly impressed with their food. I doubt I would go back unless it was for a drink.

Oh, now I remember that place. We just never felt like it was a place we wanted to eat. I guess now I am glad. Who knows, we may have tried it this year. Thanks for the heads up!

Agreed! Well, sort of, I had never eaten here until last week, and it was by far the worst food we had in Daytona. (Actually, almost every other place was great!) The chicken on my salad was definitely not chicken breast meat. The cowboy beans were awful.

With these kind of reports I doubt they will stay in business, sounds yucky.

Actually Punz, I am surprised they ARE still in business. The service was good, but the food lacked ALOT!!! Definately other places to eat and spend my hard earned money..

Did you do a review in the restaurant section of TA? Sounds like they need to be reviewed.

thanks Hoosier, I didn't realize there was such a place on TA, I will look for it and definately submit a review. I can't say that this place was the worst i have ever had, but I definately have had better and felt like I got my $ worth.

We look at the reviews before we travel to see what recent visitors have said about restaurants, attractions and hotels we are considering. We do take reviews with a grain of salt, after all a place may have a bad day now and again, but if there are numerous bad reviews, it may be worth giving it a pass.

Adobe Gila's is one of the top 2 WORST restaurants I have ever eaten at! We went tonight hoping for a good Tex-Mex meal with a fun atmosphere. The pictures in the brochures show that the dining is on the beach and they tout that they are ocean-front dining. They have a few tables in the bar area that are ocean-front, but that is it. The main dining room is behind the bar and in a seperate restaurant area. When we got there, about 9pm, there were 2 other tables with people, that should have been our first clue to leave. The service was pretty nonexistant since the waitress would come and bring you your drinks and then disappear. You have to order chips and salsa...it is not complimentary. Don't order the Queso Fundido, it is like a block of melted provolone and mozzarella cheese. The chips obviously come from a bag, if not, the should be ashamed to claim they make them! Our order was so cold and tssteless, we sent it back and asked for the manager. He was very nice and did apologize and took it off our bill. But we still paid for the queso and chips and one iced tea....that came to $12.66 not to mention that we did leave a small tip of $2 and to add insult to injury, we had to pay another $2 to park!

So here is the kicker, my best friend and I are on a girls only trip. Guess what we did the rest of the night...yes, that would be get sick to our stomachs and vomit and cold sweats. I swear, this was from the food and we weren't drinking and couldn't even eat anything anywhere else since we were so nauseated.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND HEALTH! It just isn't worth it.
