hi we took dollas which are accepted everywhere but take lots of 1 dolla notes as is a custom to tip(only a small tip they dont earn a fortune 2 dollas seemed fine) wouldnt take too much cash best to take c/card and charge to the room and seetle up as you go.p.s go and have a look at the water sports centre free open bus to save the walk if req. great for lunch and has the best beach about 3 dollas one pound sixtey to hire sunloungers for day. hope you have a great trip we did and booked again.

I'm going to the same resort in the next 2 weeks, a) was the currency advise the right one?

b) what did you think of it overall?

c) Taking my 5 year old son with us so any good for kids?

We have just returned from the Marriott......

Don't bother with travellers cheques, there is a safe in the room to keep cash and cards in and you can charge everything to your room or take money out of the cashpoint to pay for goods whilst you are there. We took a bag of pound coins for tipping and this was fine. Everyone seems to tip and pay for things with different types of currency but all are accepted.

There were lots of kids at the hotel and they seemed very well catered for (although we don't have kids ourselves so not an expert!).

Overall the holiday is good for a relaxing beach/pool holiday in the sun. All of the reviews on this site are a good reflection of the reality of this hotel and resort.
