Really pi**ed off. Just got a call to "request" our booking be moved from Saint George Three Corners to Saint George Kiroseiz even though we have booked since January the 4th!!!

Anyone say what this hotel is like??? I'm adamant I dont want to move and well annoyed. Anyone else had a bad experience with overcrowding????

Be grateful for advice! Thanks

i really hope i don't get moved. can i ask who you all booked through..it seems to be a thomas cook thing mainly and although i booked with direct-holidays, its a company owned by thomas cook.

We are travelling to the three corners st george on the 6th July this year and we have booked with travel republic. After reading some of the reviews on here about overbooking, i decided to make a phone call to Travel republic to confirm our booking at this hotel. They told me that it is not themselves who are double booking but the hotel direct. They have a block booking of so many rooms in this hotel, and that if the hotel takes a direct booking it take preference over travel agents bookings.they told me that there is nothing they can do to GUARANTEE my booking at any hotel and that overbooking, although rare,is one of those things.

I stayed at the Kiroseiz two years ago and it was fine. The service was really good and they were constantly trying to do things better. Having read reviews since then things have changed. On my visit to Sharm last week I saw the outside of the Kiroseiz on a pick up for a trip and it seems they have some building work in progress so not sure if it is disrupting people's holidays. However it doesn't have it's own beach on site which I believe the St George does. You have to get a bus to get to the beach they own but its not actually part of the hotel. If the beach doesn't bother you, then don't worry as the hotel itself was fine and I enjoyed the food there.

To Pepper... St George's doesn't have it's own beach either, the same as the Kiroseiz. I wonder though if you stay at St George's and visit Kiroseiz beach it's £4 pp I think, if you stay at Kiroseiz, do you still have to pay to use Kiroseiz beach?

I'm booked to go in August to St. George's I'll be gutted if they try and change my hotel. The worst thing is when I booked in Oct 07 they had loads of free dates, yet they could still say they are over booked, doesn't seem fair! How long before travelling do you get notified of overbooking?

I booked with OTBeach.

I can't say for definite unfortunately as I never visited the Kiroseiz beach when I stayed there (too lazy to move from the pool) but as far as I know it was free to use. The hotel group has a website though so anyone wanting to know that answer for definite an email them.
