hi browa,

are u looking for typical english afternoon tea or our local types?

For the former: i kinda like the english tea set meal at the Bar & Billiard Room (Raffles Hotel)

As for the local ones: we offer typical local favourites like kuehs, sandwiches, laksa, chinese dimsum...and much more. Usually this is offered in a buffet style and charged at a flat fee and is usually very crowded during the weekends.

You may like to try the English Afternoon Tea served from 2pm to 5pm daily at L'Espresso at the GoodwoodPark Hotel.

The Courtyard at The Fullerton Hotel serves English Afternoon Tea on a three-tier tea stand from Mondays to Saturdays from 2.30pm to 6pm.

ha... you might wanna try for an afternoon high tea buffet at the Carousel at Royal Plaza at scotts. Apparently its one of the best buffets that is around, if not the best. A bit pricey though because its in the hotel.

if you wanna opt for something light, you may try the traditional coffee and toast option. There are a few joints peppered in the malls. look out for names like 'Ya Kun Kaya Toast', 'toastbox', 'Wang Cafe'. My personal favourite is Toastbox :)

and there's always Starbucks, Gloria Jeans coffee..

Carousel cafe does not serve pork as they cater to muslim clientele.

This place indeed is very popular to locals and another buffet place for the Malay muslims here as well.

Hi,

I'd go to either Royal Plaza on Scotts or Grand Hyatt. Reservations required for both.

yeah, I would second on the Billard room @ Raffles hotel. And another great place to have afternoon tea is in Botanic gardens - The Halia. They serve in sets instead of buffet.

The Line at the Shangri-la apparently does a great high tea which my friends go too when they want to pamper themselves!

Goodwood Park is lovely for afternoon tea. Haven't tried the high tea at Halia in Botanic Gardens but had breakfast there and the surroundings are beautiful so would also recommend that.
