Never been but this sounds interesting. I'd be interesting in a real review. I'll be there 7/31 through 8/10 and cannot wait!!!

With sand on the floor in the small outdoor seating area, neon-lit palm trees, live music you can hear in the park across the street, several pool tables,

and a 4-7pm happy hour featuring cheap (and very good) mai tais, you can’t get more Maui dive than this. Come to watch the cute girls, hang out,

and kick back. The food is definitely not the point . . . but it’s inexpensive enough to not interfere with your enjoyment. If a party bar is your thing, this is the place to be.

There are several places in the Kalama Plaza, same area that Kihei Cafe is in. Also Fred's Mex across between Kam 2 & Kam 3 beaches has some happy hour drinks and food.

Also check Stella Blues, they might.

LuLu's at Kalama Village has a great happy hour and great appetizers. The peel and eat shrimp is great. Fred's across the street from Kam II makes a great Mai Tai and has a very good happy hour as well.

The first one sounds like Life's a Beach. Once known as home of the $1 Mai Tai. Great place for Happy Hour but I wouldn't eat there.

We like Lulu's. Will definitely check out Life's a Beach this time...

(Is their food really that bad??)

Mauikitty-I would like to try LuLu's, it sounds fun. We are staying at Kaomole Sands and would like to be able to walk to/from some night life. Are we to far away, and how do you get there?

That would be quiet a walk, but doable. Probably about 1 mile give or take. Just head north on Kihei Road and you won't miss it!! On the mauka(mountain side) of the road, or as you are heading north it will be on your right.
