Me and my partner are looking for a studio or 1 bed apartment to stay in for 2 months Oct - Dec 08.

I have looked on various sites but haven't found much yet. We don't really want to be spending $150 a night for 2 months. Are there any sites that offer better deals for longer stays?

We are looking for a place in central Sydney or beach areas eg. Bondi, Manly.

Try www.wotif.com.au & www.stayz.com.au

Also search "long term stay apartments Sydney" on Right hand forum search box. This question gets asked quite a lot.

i have spent hours searching trip advisor and looked on most sites but it seems very difficult to find anything for that period of time. I thought there would be places that would offer reduced rates for longer stays but most of them just knock off around $20 per night which doesn't make much difference.

Looked on wotif website and that is probably the worst one i have been on eg. all hotel rates rather than apartment rates.

If you do advanced search under apartments/self catering on the wotif site there are in fact quite a few apartments listed!

Did you search this forum as suggested?

For a stay of 2 months, you might like to try Corporate Housing.(just google them) From memory, minimum stay is around 4 weeks. Let them know your requirements, ie budget, parking space, location etc etc. We used them last year when we moved to Melbourne and were very happy with the apartment, their service and pricing. We did find it was more price competitive compared to the normal serviced apartments. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions about them.

I just did a google search using the terms “domain.com.au holiday apartments” and got a few listings, including World Apartments @ domain.com.au and Apartments Plus Pty Ltd @ domain.com.au.

There seemed to be listings for stays of up to 3 months from $500/$600 per week in good locations.

Also try http://holiday.domain.com.au and search for listings in Sydney. Though you may not get Bondi or Manly for your price....

Hi in Manly try:

Ocean Royale Manly - do a google search and book direct, not sure on pricing on 1bedrms.

Manly Surfside Apartments - they have lots of apartments in Manly but be warned, some of the budget/standard properties are just that. Again booking direct will probably get you a better deal but Oct/Dec is coming into busy season.

Other suggestions are some of the realestate agents in Manly that do holiday letting. Have a look at holiday rentals on realholidays.com.au they have quite a few apartment listings there for Manly (and probably for Bondi too).
