Just wondering if anyone can help me to decide whether to stay here or not. We are looking at staying for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have read some bad reviews and some good ones too. Some say to definatley get a room with a view as the others dont have views and look like jails. others say stay on the city side so you dont have to walk through a carpark to get to bridge?,(im not sure is there 2 buildings?). Is the penthouse the best option?? What room numbers are recommended?? Can anyone help??

I'll try to answer some of your questions.

Goldsborough Apartments is one building, but very large with 3 or 4 exits.

Its not a new building, but Oaks appartments are renovated. I haven't stayed there, but Oaks group has a good reputation.

Its very close to Darling Harbour (about 2 min walk) and city (10 min).

Located just next to Mercure Grand.

Can't help with room number, but the higher - the better (so you dont have the windows overlooking car park)

I have stayed there and can recommend it, I booked through my travel agent and when we checked in I was surprised when he said take the special lift up to the penthouse! because there were 5 of us they put us in a penthouse it was great we had a view over Darling Harbour. The suite was upstairs and downstairs with a full kitchen, dining room and lounge room, the maid told us it could sleep 11.

Its a facinating old building apparently it was a wool store. I thought it was a great location as we could walk over to the city.

HI We stayed the the Oaks a couple of years ago and found them excellent.

Yes the building was originally the old woolstores and have been converted to apartments, So the internal section of the hotel is a little dark but very interesting. They have a great gym and lap pool with a sauna and spa.

All the apartments have been well maintained and furnished very elegantly. My husband and i stayed there with my Mum and dad and we where very impressed.

regards
