We have been to Limone a couple of times in early July, last year was fine and sunny most days out of 14 with just the usual quick clearing rain storm.There is no problem with renting cycles but from your previous visits you will know that, with the exception of the cycle track between Riva AND Torbole the roads around the lake are only suitable for mad Italians on racing bikes! Far better to stick with the lake ferries I would say if you wish to see other villages( and stay alive)Hope you are looking forward to staying in Limone again as much as we are this July.

The weather in early July will be HOT. Take suncream and hats with money for drinks. :o)
