Hi, Im going to Frankfurt overnight in December to visit the Christmas market. I would like to be as near to it as possible as I walk with a stick and Im going with my Mum whos terrible with maps and public transport maps so to avoid the stress the nearer the better!!!!! Ive found that the market is on Romerberg and Paulplatz.

There are so many to choose from Ive started to get a bit blind to the reviews! Suggestions welcomed, thankyou

hey julie,

i live here, so i have not visited it, but a friend of mine was staying in the "miramar" hotel and liked it! it is located at the berliner strasse in frankfurt. this is almost as close as it gets to the christmas market, but on the downside the berliner strasse is a pretty busy and noisy street, if this is okay for you, i guess this should work fine!

Don't worry about the transport system .... it's really easy ! I agree, the Miramar would be a great location for you and it's not a bad hotel.

However, if you want to visit markets in other cities as well, perhaps a hotel near the main train station would be a good alternative - especially if you're travelling with ryanair as that's the drop-off point. We always use the Hotel National and will be there from 10th-15th December ... Happy Holidays !
